This mod adds a fourth race to Sins of a Solar Empire called the Dark Reavers (DkR) which is the name of my gaming clan. Aside from a few minor tweaks, the new race is functionally identical to the TEC and the mod aims simply to add some variation to the aesthetics of the game rather than change the gameplay. The DkR race borrows its buildings and a couple of ships (namely, the Hoshiko, Ogrov and Neruda cruisers) from the TEC, but the rest is completely custom. The mod also includes the Sins Optimisation mod and also significantly enhances all the weapons of the other factions (both visuals and sounds); nearly all the game's weapons have new particle and sound effects. Many of the explosion effects have also been improved. The mod was built for Diplomacy v1.011. I won't be uploading the mod itself until I have permission from a few people, as the mod uses ship models from two other mods (namely the SoA II and Stargate mods).
