The Sino–Vietnamese War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh biên giới Việt-Trung), also known as the Third Indochina War, was a brief border war fought between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in early 1979. China launched the offensive in response to Vietnam's invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978 (which ended the reign of the Chinese-backed Khmer Rouge),[8] which Chinese Vice-premier Deng Xiaoping saw as a Soviet attempt "to extend its evil tentacles to Southeast Asia and...carry out expansion there." (see also: Sino-Soviet split.[9]) As Dr. Henry Kissinger notes: "Whatever the shortcomings of its execution, the Chinese campaign reflected a serious, long-term strategic analysis."[10]The Chinese entered northern Vietnam and captured some of the bordering cities. On March 6, 1979, China declared that the gate to Hanoi was open and that their punitive mission had been achieved. Chinese forces retreated back across the Vietnamese border, into China. Both China and Vietnam claimed victory in the last of the Indochina Wars of the 20th century; as Vietnamese troops remained in Cambodia until 1989 it can be said that the PRC failed to achieve the goal of dissuading Vietnam from involvement in Cambodia. However, Moscow surely realized that any attempt at expanding its foothold in SE Asia would have involved risk of military confrontation with China.China achieved its strategic objective of reducing the offensive capability of Vietnam along the China-Vietnam border by implementing a scorched earth policy. China also achieved another strategic objective of demonstrating to its Cold Waradversary, the Soviet Union, that they were unable to protect their new Vietnamese ally. Following worsening relations between Soviet Union and China as a result of the Sino-Soviet split, as many as 1.5 million Chinese troops were stationed along the Soviet-Chinese border, in preparation for a full-scale war.

Okay, to whoever was spamming the page, please go away. I'm tired, otherwise I would rain down curses the like of which would make Odin shudder. Now, on to the mod. As a history buff, the fact that there is even a mod on this topic is beyond fantastic. You guys are awesome. Of course this will take a long time probably, but don't rush it and try to get the historical content right. I love mods that add historic realsim, makes me feel all giddy.

Nice to see newskins. But still I have some hints:some PLA soldiers' hands look not so natural when holding weapons(especially the left hands),the Chinese tanks' tracks sometimes go wrong when repaired,Chinese military cars CA10 and CA30's destroyed models are not so perfect(not like other original cars).
Also I think the color of PLA's uniform looks a little darker than the realistic one,and PLA’s jeep,BJ212, is from UAZ 469?
Needless to say the mod is great,so if you have time you may fix these to make the mod even better!

Glad to see this mod attract so much attention. This period of history is now not konwn by most of Chinese, needless to say the people of other countries. So it is necessary to let people know this conflict and the sacrifice of fearless Chinese soldiers.(China suffered nearly 20000 casualties in 1979's conflict.)

This mod seems a little smaller than the orignal one, maybe you have changed sometheing. The orignal one may work on 2.05.13/14,so I don't konw why this one has problem when someone tries to active it(Maybe because the orignal one is set for Chinese edition only). Also from the image I can see you have made the different mission, very good, but I hope you can add something new besides the oringnal mod, like new, more accurately human skin and more weapons and vehicles of that time (like type63 amphibian tank,type63 12-rounds rocket launcher,type77 amphibian armored vehicle,PT76 amphibian tank and so on),like you did in your last mod Korean War (the Korean Soliders human skin is great)

And hope you can totaly translation the mod into English (I don't konw wether you have made this a full English one but you Korean War is not a totaly English one and a little mess).

And you may make a list of the sources of the content in your mod to avoid possible disputes
