In Half-Life 2: Silent Escape, scientists has organized the project of "Silent Escape" in which they must using the teleport bring people to safe place. However, things did not go quite according to plan. In the project "Silent Escape" was attended by the main character, Sean and his partner Thomas. Because of the Combine chase, they had to merge and stay in the basement, but soldiers found them. From this moment, they need to break into the lab. But they are waiting for an event about which they have not even thought of. In this modification you will find a lot spectacular scenes, a variety locations, attention to the details, and an intriguing story. The main story of "Silent Escape" unfolds before the incident in Nova Prospekt. The main character, Sean will visit many locations: the dark forest, an abandoned mine, evening forest and survive through many adventures. And have a revenge...

it is really one of the better ones! i loved the firefights, nicely pased and hard, (but not TO hard for those who don't like challenging firefights!).
there were some small issues, for instance a ladder that did get stuck and didn't fall so i could climb up it, but after shooting at it it did fall anyway. the mapping was in some cases a bit blend, but never bad or dull. and the models that are added to this mod are insanely well made, really great work!!
all in all, i give this mod a 8/10!

Начну с того, что мне ваш мод понравился. Он содержит в себе многие элементы за которые нам полюбился Half-Life 2.
Однако, в нем есть те вещи, которые лично мне не очень понравились, например, мод слишком стремительно развивается, не дает оглядеться.
Локации сделаны качественно и приятно, и не возникают нарекания в плане логики.
Отдельно хочу заметить грамотный баланс сражений, из-за чего сражение при сохранении своей динамики не кажется сложным. Отсутствуют арены c волнами врагов, которые мне не нравятся. Единственное, что немного не понравилось, это то, что не чувствуются разница в сложности сражений на протяжении всего мода, и многие (не все) сражения с комбайнами похожи, но эти пункты не критичны.
Новые саундтреки неплохо вписываются, но можно было бы добавить более электронных, опять же, не критично.
Понравились, опять же, всякие скриптовые сценки, которые вносят небольшое разнообразие.

I gave a 8 and here's why.
The mod was really well done, i have to hand it to the mappers, who must have busted their *****. The maps are greatly detailed with just the right amount of clutter. I never got lost for more than a couple minutes either.
I had a few bugs/glitches that weren't experience breaking so its no big deal. Another thing I really like about this mod was the sense of urgency I got from all of the combine coming at me. The custom voice acting and face posing were both on par with the mapping.
I would have liked to see the scripted events be fluent instead of blacking out to a screen to load a new level. It ruined the mods flow for me. And if the mod would've had just a little more polish into it, and some more work done to the story, this wouldve been a definite 9.5 or 10 out of 10.
Great mode, very intuitive and has it's own style.

+ Lens Flare was a nice touch
+ Not to long, Not to short, good length
- Cut scenes in HL2 where you can't move? Big no no
- The cutscenes were also boring and were spineless at best
- The ending was also kinda meh, like one of those generic movies
Really good mod though, definitely one of the best around here
There are some bugs, except of that the overall is quiet good.
But some places are confusing...
1. At the dark forest(fighting zombies, before entering the rebel base),
it is too dark to find a path, add some small guiding light would be much better, you can use Alan wake as your reference.
2. Some button hides, for example, at the mine where you enter a lift, the button is behind a pillar, which is not normal
3. When the player dies and load a save, some event are not triggered.
for example, the combine apc would not break the gate if you are recently died and quick-load a quick save.
I still give it a 8/10 because it give an alternate feeling of hl2 universe. Being betrayed and watching those npc scene is quiet unique. And the slow motion time is also great. But level design would be improved.

- Cut scenes at times were sluggish, small but noticeable pauses between speech, Any time the players camera is taken control of it feels/looks mechanical( This is true especially for the last scene). I also wasn't quite sure about the last scene, you are in a tunnel and then bang boom, train explodes and you are in a forest.
- Some of the speech seems out of place
- Short, and not only that some enemies should of been utilized more(Ant lions were introduced, but I only saw them twice)
-Encountered two faults. One was the night-time bridge, I managed to get stuck between a beam and the wreckage on the left side. The other more important one is the fight scene with the apc, the first time I tried it I died ( tried to go swimming :P) and when I respawned I wasn't able to trigger the apc, so instead I had to build a crate tower to jump over the gate
