Just extract to Doom 3 base folder. Works only with retail doom 3 and steam doom 3, I don't know how to make it work with BFG Doom nor RoE.

I have an ATI and I keep having problems when I start the game and the problem is a really dark screen, it was inverted at first then that happened. I turned off AI and the catalyst control center and nothing changed. Please help I want to play this mod very much!!!!

You can rename DOOM3.exe to something like DOOM 3.exe and it would fix it, but after that, the effects won't work properly either (artefacts everywhere). At least, that's what it is like for me.

P.S. I have an ATI HD 6950 video card.

It's good to see that people still make such modifications for good old games like Doom 3. Although, I'm a bit sad due to the fact that I can't try it out because I have an ATI HD 6950 video card. I re-named DOOM3.exe to DOOM 3.exe and turned ATI AI off, but here's a list of stuff that doesn't work:

- SSAO
- SSIL
- Soft shadows
- Motion blur
- Sun shafts
- DoF doesn't seem to work properly either.

If you can, please, add support for ATI video cards in version 1.2.

All of the shaders are written in ARB so there's no "incompatibility" when it comes to Ati hardware. I have an Ati card, by the way.

Now, since every effect you listed uses an encoded depth render, I'm going to take a guess and say you are forcing AA and/or AF through your driver. If you are, turn those things off (or app controlled) as they also get applied to the depth render which, since it's encoded, cause pixels to have incorrect depth and, therefore, screwing up any effects that use it.

And sun shafts won't work unless you are in a large enough area with an unobstructed sky box. The large areas in the monorail map can work to test it out.

I did as you instructed, but there are still artefacts whenever I turn on any of those effects.

Here's how my ATI settings look like:
AA - use application settings
AF - use application settings
AI - set to performance (there is no "off" option) and "Enable Surface Format Optimization" is turned off as well.
AA mode is set to "Multi-sample AA" which is as low as possible.
In OpenGL settings, I've turned tripple buffering off.

No idea what's causing the artefacts. First Gothic 3 didn't work properly, now Doom 3 with your mod. I'm starting to get slightly dissapointed with ATI. :/

CatA.I. needs to be turned off. Performance is not the same as off. I know the new drivers don't allow you to turn it off through the CCC but you can still turn it off by editing the "Profiles.xml" file. Another user here posted this:

from farhad24:

heres what AMD users should do to make it work
go to
C:\Users\"your name"\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE
open profile
edit this line
Property name="CatalystAI" value="Enable" />
to this
Property name="CatalystAI" value="Disable" />
thats over save and quit

If it's still not working correctly after that, do me a favor and upload some screenshots for me to look at (your CCC settings are good, by the way). Also, everything else is working okay, right?

Very nice looking screens man. How did you manage to make the blood on the floor in the Delta 4 map to look like that?

A very nice update to Doom 3. Pretty much fully customizable ingame and it just works. Simple to use compared to some other enhancement mods I've tried out.

Fantastic stuff. :)
