What is SMRI? Sid Meier’s Railroads!: Intercontinental (here in known as SMRI) has everything you could ask for: Tanks, missiles, cars, money and lots of it, speeds reaching 200 miles per hour, Military bases, horses, cows, cheese, and elfs! As well as train loads of other new goods to transport over twenty new maps. How long would it take you to play all this? Well we estimate that if you only played each map once it take you well over 21 hours, are these action packed hours? No not really, more like relaxingly addictive hours in which you forget to check the clock and realize you have to get to work, an hour ago. So in the end if you already own a copy of SMR it would be a crime to not install this mod, if you don't own SMR. Well go out and buy a copy, Steam sells it cheap. SMRI 1.01 Sid Meier’s Railroads!: Intercontinental is now finished as of release 1.01. If you have already downloaded 1.0 pick up the 1.0-1.01 patch other wise head to our website for the full 1.01 installer....

I guess I should really just come out and say this. SMRI is done, or as others might say, dead. It has been a long time since I last played SMR much less did any work towards SMRI 2. Any knowledge I did have of SMR/SMRI and the many bugs the game had is long since gone. This all makes me kind of sad when I see someone having problems which I know I knew how to fix easy. I do know this though, there are still others which do have the needed knowledge out there on the forum. Guess I should add some big lettering to drive this point home.

Anyway with all this said SMRI is still likely the easiest way for someone to get new maps and engines for SMR. Which really was the point of all this. If SMRI is not enough for you I hear that they have made some more content over in the forums, sadly a bit more work will be needed to use those maps, should not be too hard though.

As for the team members well lets see, lol now I remember I never could get them to join the SMRI Dev team on moddb. Oh yes back on topic, most if not all of the map makers are long since gone, many of them disappeared before SMRI even got out the door. Atani seems to have taken a peak aboo back in the forums, Snoopy appears to have had a fight with another dev and left the forums. I myself still have school, learning Japanese and my blog. Suffice it to say SMRI will never see an update from us, if there is though an active dev or user on the forums which would like to take this over and do something with it please just PM me.
