A mod for "Star Wars: Empire At War - Forces Of Corruption" that seeks to change some fundamental aspects of how the game is played and introduces an alternate timeline to the Star Wars universe - all while attempting to retain the essence of the game loved by so many.

Report RSS A summary of the edited 'Closing On Coruscant' GC

Below is a summary of the edited 'Closing On Coruscant' GC. This is what I am scripting the GC to entail, and am nearly finished. I have also been tinkering with different methods of giving X-wing's torpedoes, and will be putting up a test of it in the next couple of days to get peoples thoughts.

Rebels:
In the months following the Rebellion's victory at Endor, they were able to inflict numerous defeats on the confused and leaderless Imperial Navy, while many planets overthrew their Imperial leadership. Now, they are ready to push into the Core, and assault Coruscant.
But first, they must shutdown the remaining Imperial shipyards, which are still turning out a prodigious amount of ships.

And what of the reports that the Imperials have discovered the location of a powerful warship; missing since the Clone Wars, one of two secret projects commisioned by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
Could this ship be the thing that allows the Rebel Alliance final victory over the Empire?
Or could it turn the Rebellions advance, and plunge the Galaxy into darkness?

Empire:
Grand Admiral Thrawn; One of the greatest strategists in the history of the Galaxy.
When he returned from the Unknown regions and took the Chimaera as his flagship 2 years after the Battle Of Endor, and launched his campaign against the fledgling New Republic, he came close to total victory.
He was barely stopped; and only then because the Nogrhi learned of his exploitation of their race, and he was assasinated - by his chief Nogrhi bodyguard - during the Battle of Bilbringi, plunging the Imperial fleet into chaos.

But what if he had taken charge of the Imperial Navy directly after the Battle of Endor; before the squabbling, power-hungry Moffs squandered what was still the most powerful and biggest Navy in history?
With Coruscant and the major shipyards of Kuat and Fondor under his control, could he have succeded where the Emperor failed?
Could Grand Admiral Thrawn have annihalted the Rebel Alliance?
Take control of the Imperial Navy under the command of Grand Admiral Thrawn in this 'What If' scenario, and find out.
