Objectives from Japanese Mission 5 genocide.
Good to see you making it work.
When necessary, for obscure places on the map that may not be
so easy to recognize use the binoculars icon on this menu,
if you know how to do that.
For example when you click the binoculars, it takes you to that place on the map
described in your objectives.
I do not know how to do that yet but it is common to see
the binoculars icon on this objectives menu in missions.
I added a pointer for the side objectives which need them and they disappear when you complete the objectives. It took some time to fix the errors in both units and the maps but I got through it after some time.
Demolish Church with Villages?...
Sanko Sakusen. Burn all, loot all, kill all. The Kwantung Army has been cut off its leash.
Read it about, elements of the Kwantung Army and the IJA along with Kempeitai proceeded with the idea of Sanko Sakusen after the initial sucess of overcoming the Nationalist and Communist regular forces.
This is perhaps one of the few games or even the only to actually portray this part of the war. In short: this is like the Einsatz Gruppen and occupation policies of Germany in the European Front.
It's actually Demolish Church with Villagers Templar, you must have read it wrong. Yea the Japanese did some bad things in China and showing that is the right thing to do, you come across naked women raped by the Japanese in this mission and that's the missing villagers objective.
There is stuff like this in some other missions for both china and japan.
I just hope you will not overdo so it doesn't end up in a mission wholly based on sadistic killing of innocent civilians that might be seen as an anti-Japanese attempt sentiment especially in Asia.
The mission intrigues me now after what you wrote, so we have to level the entire area of populace only to find out later the remaining escapees were raped by another squad?
Yea I'll try not to, those stuff are optional for you to find and it's just to show what happened. When you find the rapists your officer confronts them for what they have done, he then shoots them letting the women go free and they then run off the map.
I don't want to just have evil killer rapists so one does good to show they're not all evil and have a conscience. In the mission you have to kill the enemy soldiers but as an optional objective you can kill all the civilians.
