The mod will evolve in several steps, which will be developed further...

The aim is to make CoH2 look, feel and finally play more historically accurate.

The first one will be a skinpack for Infantry, with focus on "ze Germans" whose uniforms look actually much more out of place.
Soviets will be made too, but they need less work. Less yellow at least.^^
The second step will add historically briefed vehicle skins & crews of the Eastern Front in the time period of 1943/44.

Step 3 will add variety for squad members and vehicle crews,
Step 4 is planned as a first real mod: Longer weapon ranges , real-life damage & penetration, real vehicle speed & rotation times.
Step 5 will alter squad sizes and add custom units.
Step 6 is meant to exchange the actual commanders with historical ones.
Like Model, Guderian , von Manstein , Hausser or Zhukov, Vasilevsky and Rokossovsky
who not only add abilities according to their personality , but also special units.

For Example:
Model was a defensive specialist, so don't expect much offensive power here, but heavy guns.
Guderian was a Panzer Tactician, so he will add useful skills for tank lovers.
Paul Hausser, on the other hand, will add Waffen-SS Units to the German Force Pool.

These are only sketches and ideas, I am curious myself how it will turn out in the end.
And - much more important - if ever. At first we all have to wait until modding is activated.

The recent development in CoH2 is not very promising. Also the release of worldbuilder
has brought -dev mode back, modding has been completely disabled now.


No skins, no mod, no progress. I am sorry.

I hope they can get the go ahead with this game. Other whys I just can't play it, too many issues from balance to damage system to the skins. I was really disappointed with how this game turned out. After playing COH 1 "with the mods" all this time it was like taking a step back playing COH 2. Sorry had to get that rant out hehe

RELIC BANNED MODDING. *facepalm* so what now? I MADE A HUGE MOD OVER THE COURSE OF 2 weeks then they banned it.....

Modding is not banned. It is just currently disabled, as all of our sources in Relic suggest that they are trying to integrate Steam Workshop support for it. Relic in the recent interviews also said that modding was in their road map, as suggested by the integration of maps in the workshop.

I don't really care if its goona be Workshop compatible, I only want there to be some mods to be released, otherwise i may bail CoH 2 for awhile since the multiplayer sucks, only Automatch vs players/AI...

Indeed, i hate how AI spam them and you cannot hold and they all go for your HQ, or wipe out the Static Emplacements. Infantry/Tanks only perhaps?
