Science and Industry 2 is a teamplay modification for Half-Life 2. It is the sequel to the long-running Half-Life modification Science and Industry. Players take on the role of Security Officer in a bitter struggle between two rival corporations in the world of defence technology research.
It is the job of Security Officers to acquire and protect the company's most valuable resources - the scientists, which develop technologies for the company, and the technologies themselves. Since it is the technologies and scientists which generate the income for your company, which in turn keeps the company at the leading edge of the business world, these resources are vital to success.
However, the company isn't content with just having its own scientists and technologies - the opposition also has plenty of scientists working for them. Stealing scientists from the opposition is a great way to increase productivity, and keep those new technologies coming thick and fast.
Of course, the opposition has the same idea, so defending the company's existing resources is as important as "recruiting" new ones. Of course, the intricate threads of the universe are difficult to untangle when standing in the middle of a firefight, so for maximum productivity, keep the combat out of the laboratory areas as much as possible.

Hey all, we are finally releasing the 1.1 update. This update fixes a number of things people had issues with in 1.0, as well as adds a little bit of new content. Some of the changes include:
Check out the forums for the full release notes. Additionally, we have moved Science and Industry 2 to the Orange Box Engine, meaning you need to have the Source SDK Base - Orange Box installed to play, and you no longer need to own Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, either. We are also providing an installer version in addition to the zipped version for easy installation.
We hope this update makes the mod a little bit nicer to play.

You need help for mapping but the mapping is very bad... and you need scripter for script all in you're mod.
You need restart you're mod ^^'
Wow, u really need to fix some bugs. I don't Think that u should have released this beta with so many bugs.
Beta = 'Feature complete - needs testing'. That's what Beta builds are.
I don't know if this mod is feature complete, but I don't think we should be knocking it for having bugs in a beta version! All games have bugs in beta versions, even when commercial games are released as public betas. For a non-commercial team to get a game to release is something to be applauded, not moaned about.
You only have 1 in-game screenshot in your mod gallery. Try to get some video footage and screenshots from the beta, I'm sure a video on the Moddb page would get people more interested.
The Moddb will probably include S&I in the 'July releases' previews, but those videos are usually really short and don't always show the best bits.
how do i download this, do you just need the campaign or the mutiplayer?
"To play, you're going to need to own and have installed Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Source SDK Base."
Which brings us to the problem of needing people in order to polish the mod. See the dilemma?
Do you think by now have seen it? I suggest you guys get your butts out there and find some good people looking for work. I suggest facepunch forums sense a lot of people freelance develop there.
Actually, we have finally found some good, motivated people, thanks to the release. I doubt they would have had much interest in helping if we hadn't released, so hopefully things will all get much better from here on out.
Great to hear. I don't want a sequel to a classic mod to get an awful reputation.
