Science and Industry 2 is a teamplay modification for Half-Life 2. It is the sequel to the long-running Half-Life modification Science and Industry. Players take on the role of Security Officer in a bitter struggle between two rival corporations in the world of defence technology research.
It is the job of Security Officers to acquire and protect the company's most valuable resources - the scientists, which develop technologies for the company, and the technologies themselves. Since it is the technologies and scientists which generate the income for your company, which in turn keeps the company at the leading edge of the business world, these resources are vital to success.
However, the company isn't content with just having its own scientists and technologies - the opposition also has plenty of scientists working for them. Stealing scientists from the opposition is a great way to increase productivity, and keep those new technologies coming thick and fast.
Of course, the opposition has the same idea, so defending the company's existing resources is as important as "recruiting" new ones. Of course, the intricate threads of the universe are difficult to untangle when standing in the middle of a firefight, so for maximum productivity, keep the combat out of the laboratory areas as much as possible.

So we are just about to release the 1.1 update, which addresses a number of major things that people had issue with in the first version. One problem was being unable to tell people on different teams apart. What we've done for the time being now is given the terrorist model AFD and MCL skins,

Other changes include moving Science and Industry 2 to the Orange Box, and fixing players not appearing to face the correct direction. Make sure that you watch our mod for future updates!

wonder how many servers are up
About three .
This mods fantastic, glad you're making the source version for it! Good time with the hl1 version. I'm actually so pumped I'll bust open hammer to make a map.
You guys just need modelers, texture artists and some mappers. If those pieces of the mod are fulfilled then it'll be a beta.
Totally agree
Thats not what people are expecting. Nobody expects a complete and finished/bug free game upon first release. What they do expect however, is something that basically resembles the game it is supposed to be. What i mean is that nobody expected to download this and see terrorists models that float around backwards, unarmed, with their arms sticking out to the side. Nor did they expect to see untextured weapons, crowbars, mp5's, etc. So for you to put blame against people expressing some "let down" for these reasons isnt right. Please dont take this as me bashing this mod or anything because thats not my intent. This was just released way to early. This is no-where near ready for public beta. Although, on a more positive note, the basics are there as far as game-play and it does seem quite promising
ahh the first one was pure greatness! Im waiting for this mod so take your time making it but dont cancel it!!!
(buried)
You need help for mapping but the mapping is very bad... and you need scripter for script all in you're mod.
You need restart you're mod ^^'
Wow, u really need to fix some bugs. I don't Think that u should have released this beta with so many bugs.
Beta = 'Feature complete - needs testing'. That's what Beta builds are.
I don't know if this mod is feature complete, but I don't think we should be knocking it for having bugs in a beta version! All games have bugs in beta versions, even when commercial games are released as public betas. For a non-commercial team to get a game to release is something to be applauded, not moaned about.
