Well, the ModDB entry for Schism is up and running. Hoorah.

What is Schism? Well, essentially, it's a total conversion for Command and Conquer Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. TCs take a lot of work, but I've been modding this game for maybe seven or eight years, so I've got the experience under my belt, and I know what the engine is capable of.

The design goal of Schism is simple; design three sides that require radically different playstyles. In this respect Schism will not be unlike AR2 (formerly Allies Revenge 2), an old RA2 mod which to this day has had a large impact on my own conceptualizations of what makes a good strategy game.

Schism started out as nothing more than a way for my two friends and I to have our own RTS factions, so the mod itself should not be considered to be the most epic production you will ever see or play. Though I'm pretty adept at coding by now, I have little to no art skill, and therefore all the graphics will be modified public assets from existing RA2 modding networks.

That being said, don't write off the mod as a newbie effort. There are a lot of interesting ideas in play and I will not release this mod in an unpolished condition.

As it stands, I have all but one of the Imperium units done. More details and screenshots will become available in time.
