This is an open map test for Scarif: Map Pack, the preview map for Gogie(D.Onizaki)'s new Scarif Map Pack for Star Wars Battlefront II. This is not a complete mod map as of yet and many of the sides are under revision. This Maps current release is intended for people to try out and assist with reporting bugs, issues and get a general idea of what changes people would like to see happen. Install instructions:
Basic: copy and paste BRS folder into your battlefront II game directory addon folder (default is usually C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon) and thats all load battlefront and enjoy
for steam users addon directory can be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon
you will also need ZERTED's v1.3 patch to have the gamemodes show properly this can be found here

Basis of the map:
there are 12 command posts spread out over four main pieces of land, you can use Tie Reapers and U wings to deploy troops over top of landing zones (which will be the only landing areas in the final release however for now you can land anywhere)
a bridge to the side islands can be cut off by destroying the zeta class shuttles being used as command posts by the opposing teams.

Your soldiers have to much brightness and some times changes your skin for vanilla skin but I like it.

Just found the update page for this map a few days ago, it was a pleasant surprise to see that I had to wait such a short time.
great work man this map is amazing for a beta :) is the map will include walkers form rogue one in is final version? it sould be great to fit with the movie plus if you could add Jyn erso and director krenic it would be awsome :)
First of all, the map ist quit amazing.
It runs pretty well and has no big bugs.
But some points for improvment:
- The game crashed, as i switched to the Wookie (i use the normal version, no steam with all patches).
- The map is hugh (thats good), but to monotonous. Maybe some other sides would be helpfull. Like a part in the ocean (with AT-AT´s?), a part at the big tower, a part at the landing-zone and so one.
- Some other vehicles would be nice.
- The space-ships are to big and to "heavy". They are so slow in the air. It´s not nice to use them. Also the make to low damage at the other spaceships.
- And maybe some heros?
Thats all for the moment.
But: This mod is quit amazing and good new stuff for the game :)
reload again and try the wookie again and see if it still crashes, Ive tested this myself and am not having an issue (I have both steam and disc copy however I prefer to use steam so I can upload easier while I work)If it still keeps crashing let me know im investigating the issue.
Heroes will be incoming during the Beta phase
other vehicles will be featured on other maps in this map pack
and the map may seem monotonous for now but there are planned game modes for ground to air type maps (i wont give details yet)and you will see when those are released in the full beta why the map is set up the way it is.
This is strictly a map test, to help me find bugs and to help me find issues with the AI

The game still crashes if i play the wookie and try to change the weapons. Also the name of the weapons are only some formels.
And in my opinion, in some areas the ground is to dark for the beach - or landscape near a beach.
Also some Palm trees are flying in the air and are not on the ground.
But this hast so much potential and is at this time of development so much fun to play.

Mine has never worked. It crashes every time I try to use the maps. it seems to load and then freezes on the loading screen. Any suggestions? maybe some mod pre-requisites? like any other mods need to be included when I boot it up? other than the unofficial patch...

Will you be tweaking the speed and maneuverability of the U-wing and TIE Striker? Their ability to fly is the only problem I have with the map, minus the obvious.

I have 4 annoying bugs and 1 thing to fix. DISCLAIMER: yes I know this is a test, and I am only giving my recommendations and bugs that I have found. I am not hating, as I love this map so far!
1. Vehicles. They look great but don't sound great. In fact, there is no sound, fix it please!
2. My teammates spawn in the air, begin to walk, and respawn in the air, and then repeat with no end.
3. Character skins will zip back to vanilla
4. Sometimes, 7/10, when I switch back o my secondary weapon, I can't go back to my primary. It won't let me!
The thing to fix: The names for the weapons. This is a personal gripe, and I don't know if you can fix it, but the weapon names are annoying. NOT AN Exact name but similar: "Scout_weapon_1_"
Recommendations: Make the heroes Jyn and Krennic! That would be epic!
Make it more compact with wildlife, as it looks empty at times!
Add some sort of speeder for land travel!
Add more game modes, please!
Make it more vibrant, like in the new Battlefront! (vague I know, and I mean brighter colors and more sun rays)
Add At-Ats's in the ocean and make them slowly come into the battlefield! EPIC!
Hunt: You play as Jyn or Krennic, and they fight with their armies as bots. Epic!
Flag: Self-explanatory, but I would add lore as the flag being the plans
Hero Hunt: Have the basic heroes, but have Jyn and Krennic!
XL: Self-explanatory. I've always liked this on the Kashyyyk map because it is like Normandy and I would love to see it on Scariff!
Other than this, this is a nice map and keep up the great work! For some reason, I want to play my Force Awakens Era mod with this!

noticed that there are invisible barriers under walkways, so even though I can see NPCs on the other side and they can see me, we can't shoot each other

Aren't they called TIE Strikers, not TIE Reapers?
If you watch the movie the tie reaper receives less than 7 seconds of screen time it's escorted by two tie strikers and drops off Krennecs death trooper squad on scarif it was a craft chosen for this map because of its scarif theme and drop ship quality
I think that the map is great but the sides need a lot of tweaking. I think the shoretrooper should be the default imperial soldier. The current demolitions shoretrooper's gun is incredibly overpowered. I just played a match where i went the whole battle without dying once using that class. I think that the death trooper should have that weapon with a bit of a damage nerf. The sniper class should be a scout trooper and the shoretrooper captain should be the demolitions class.
The reason the shore trooper was chosen as demolitions is scarif had a large number of both storm troopers and shore troopers; all the shore trooper skins put together have the same ai cap as the stormtrooper so their total skin numbers are balanced for visual effects; this is not intended to change
The weapons have been completely reworked I'm finishing a few ai issues and you can expect to see a brand new set of over 50 new weapons and combinations coming this week in the 1.2 alpha patch
Another thing I noticed is that the death troopers should be much taller. In the movie, they are taller than an average trooper.
I believe this is easily fixable with Skeleton scale thank you for the suggestion I never thought of this; if it's possible with simple scaling expect to see this change next week
You'll be pleased to know I just checked my reference book, DT-5537 was 6ft 5in, were as TK 32028 and TK 14057 (a shore trooper and stormtrooper) were both only 5ft 11in... death trooper will definately be making its way to a taller appearance thanks again for pointing this out
fyi, they're also taller than normal troops in the Scariff DLC in EA's trash-lefront

I didn't really like Rogue One as much as other people did, but I did like that battle on Scarif.
Although...you do know that Kyle Katarn was the real Death Star Plans thief, right?
just like most comic book universes I consider "Legends" and "Canon" to both be canonical in their own respects... I follow both and appreciate both... I just consider them seperate content universes... Jedi Knight series will never dissapear from my memory

I've looked at some playthroughs as this is downloading and it looks AWESOME, not to be nit picky, but I would suggest you guys could add some more shrubbery so that this would look less wide open and more like Scarif actually looked. Another thing would be to make the colours more accurate. Other tha those things, the mod looks great!
Shrubbery I can't really add more; I've added what I can to balance out the graphics, but because of battlefronts relatively low particle limit I can't add more shrubbery without disappearing objects or weapon effects; you'll be happy to know however colour correction for sand and terrain is in progress thank you for the feedback
I really enjoyed this map. The thoughts I have are as follows:
The Rebel Rifle with stock extended is a little TOO strong, in my opinion. With a single headshot it can take out anyone including the Death Trooper, though I will say the slow fire rate of the weapon does make up for it. I suggest nerfing the damage just a tiny bit. That's just me, though.
The Death Trooper is RIDICULOUS. The fact that a commenter above me could take on 60 Rebels single handedly just does not add up to me. I know they were tough and they had the best weapons the Empire could buy, but I don't think one could take on over 60 armed Rebels and walk away from it. Again, though, my opinion.
I noticed some commenting about spaceships, but in the map I installed I found none besides the ones flying in the sky just for immersion. Were they removed?
I still give this map a 10/10. Which I don't give often. But you DID manage to BEAUTIFULLY recreate Scrarif with the limited tools the Game provides, which in itself is very impressive. Besides some floating props and the occasional derpy AI, you did this FANTASTICALLY.
Besides the issues and opinions I have provided, bravo, and I look forward to the next version of this map.
thank you for the feedback; I don't particularly disagree with any point you've presented; The trouble with balancing the rebel stock extended is that when War Hero is awarded it increases blaster damage, most people who have stock extended unlocked typically have war hero as well, so its also a delicate balancing act between the people who have awards, and peopl who dont. I do agree it needs a damage nerf, trying to find that "sweet spot" is a trial and error thing. Ill try to address this.
The Death trooper I agree is over powered, he is recieving a nerf soon due to the fact he has higher health, and he has a ion blaster for bases. He will still maintain a high health but have slightly above average damage this will e adjusted soon.
If you notice there are no space ships, space ships should only be available in conquest right now, I wanted everyone to get a feel for the sides in base assault before I polished up the script. If they do not appear in conquest let me know ill try a hot fix (they are working on my computer so I assume they will work on yours, if they don't ill investigate this issue)

Did you considering add a hero assault mode with the rogue one squadron?
for the empire you can add krennic, vader and Tarkin and some imperial heroes from the new canon, this is just a suggestion.
Also, i asked you in a Battlefronjdgamer video of port models, i can undestand with you don't want port it, i asked that because i hate when new characters are made whit reskins of a previous character, but i Trust in your modelling abilities to bring awesmoe models,You have proved it with the shoretroopers and ther deathtroopers, keep it up with this map
I intend to add all the heroes suggested remember this will be part of a new expansion so heroe assault will come as more maps are completed and heroes are made.
Don't worry I intend to make good models for both jyn and krennic; the first release of them might not be the greatest as I'm just doing slight modifications and skinning to stock models, but I intend to adjust them to be better after initial release ; I want all my basic assets made for the map to release the beta, then every new map and update im going to completely redo and finish the models for one player character, one base assault item and one weapon. Just so I can make good progress time and keep people interested while I make my custom assets (remember a detailed model can take me between 3-9 days per model, the shore troopers alone took almost 3 weeks to make)

Make sure you have both the 1.3 unofficial patch from zerted and the 1.1 patch installed from pandemic

But i have one problem: Tie and U-Wing doesn't have a sound effect.

Floating palm tree on the map. Can't remember exactly where but it is near the Rebel CPs if I remember correctly.
Shadows are straight models with arms stretched out.
And with some classes a picture of their weapon appears in the middle of the screen and cannot be removed without unequipping the weapon.
