Scaedumar 2

An upcoming mod for Mount and Blade: Warband

Scaedumar II takes place in a totally new Calradia world in which men dictate its future unpredictably. Centuries after the events of the fall of the Calradian Empire, the Seven Kingdoms of Calradia: Kingdom of Swadia, Northern Hold, Vaegir Boyarate, Khergit Horde, Sarranid Caliphate, Kusarian Kingdom and the Rhodok Confederacy engage in intense wars that last for many months and years, wars fought over the control of the land, and the idea of uniting the continent under a sole banner and way of living . At the beginning of Scaedumar II, 15 years have passed since the last Great Plague, and you'll see some devastating changes that you'll have to cope with. You can die in these god-forgotten lands, and your memory will be just an inscription over a lonely tombstone somewhere. Or will you not die and become the one to finally raise Calradia under a sole banner?

What's the situation?

King Herman II (Harlaus' forefather), and proclaimed self-proclaimed King of Swadia and Ruler of the Rhodok Confederacy became a war bickering tyrant, who little does he care for the lack of food and ammenities of his people. Chancellor Byrne, the leader of the Rhodok Confederacy, is calling for a separation of the Rhodok lands, since there is little in common with their fellow country men in Veluca (which are more Swadian than Rhodok anyway). Ngulgu Khan, the Khan of the Great Khergit Horde, powerful of thousands of men is waging war against almost everyone, seemingly unstoppable as of now, luckily, they have great internal disputes over land, and sometimes Civil War and family bid for powers will be common. The Caliph of the Sarranids is one of the few not to wage war, preferring to delve into the fine arts of culture and mercantilism, even if they may seem peaceful, the Sarranids are one force to be reckoned with, and they hardly pardon violence in their lands - at cost of your own head rolling on the scorching desert sand. The Vaegir Boyarate, lead by Boyar Talmutdril seem to have taken a keen interest in one Nordic town that has been recently built, and located near a rich area full of resources that could help them against the Horde. The Kusarians are relatively new to the panorama in Calradia, since they have secluded themselves for centuries, protected by the hot and deadly desert of the Sarranids that divide them from the other factions.

What are the main features?

You'll have a definately more hard experience in playing Scaedumar II, it is unforgiving, you won't earn lots of money, but you'll have to be a master of trade in some profession, which you can decide to follow. Will you become a richly-dressed merchant, or a blood-soaked veteran of many battles? Do you think that factions in Warband were too bland and didn't took their diplomacy seriously with the other factions? Well, here you'll see some buffed up relations between the factions. At the start of each game, each faction will have an antagonist which they will keep fighting now and then. Take care of yourself while venturing in the lands of Calradia. If you get seriously injured, or if you fall in battle, you may die. And there's no way of preventing Death. The enemy now is smarter, deadlier and harder to kill. You may need to act accordingly and always use strategy, and watch out for the plague, because too much wars shall make it arise again.

Why did you disappeared in the past?

I suffered a fatal SSD data loss, on which the majority of Scaedumar II files were contained. I still had an early development version on a Cloud, but starting over again the effort of one year of development in 2013 seemed way too much for me. Now in 2016, with the closing in of Bannerlord, I want to give you a way to spend time while anticipating it.

This music actually is from Matti Paalanen of his Celestial Aeon Project. He licensed me to use it for Scaedumar. The details of the track are the following:

Before stating facts, do check if they are correct. Did the team from TA:TW requested the use of MP's work in their mod? I see that they don't even credited him.

I sense plagiarism. And I for one, don't like to be accused of something of that degree.

Regards.

A beta should be ready in a month.
Full release will be around Christmas.
It's not a promise though.

My last update was made in May of this year. The mod until yesterday was at the rank position of 974.
Now it's back in the first 50.
This could not be possible without you all. My gratitude is towards those who have patience and wait without sending PMs asking me for a Beta.
I don't want exclusivity.
Everyone will test it when I'm done.
I have limited time, a job, my studies and life.
I'm not a software house making this like a job. It's a hobby with which I express my creativity and my artistical skills.
This mod will not be made by me, but by you, all.
Your suggestions can get in the mod of they're good enough and if they respect the concept of medieval reality of the mod.

This is not Medieval Europe. This is still Medieval Calradia. Our most beloved place.

Nah, I'm not financially broken. Your support as a fan is what keeps me going with the mod. This mod is aimed to please you, like all the other fans.
This is how I think that Warband should have looked.
