SA-MP 0.3a is released! As usual, the new update is available on the Download Page.
This is the first major SA-MP update since SA-MP 0.2 and there are more features and fixes than can be listed on this page.
Here is a short summary of some of the new features in SA-MP 0.3a:
- Up to 500 players per server and up to 2000 vehicles.
- New mouse driven scoreboard, chat and other UIs.
- Visible vehicle damage and vehicle repairing.
- NPC bots that can drive trains, planes and more.
- Completely server controlled game play.
- Improved sync including vehicle surfing.
- Many new scripting features.
- Many bug and crash fixes - SA-MP 0.3a is the most stable version yet!

Would have voted for this game, but since there is no Steam version support and I can't use it well.... they didn't get my vote!
I just found out what you have to do, to get it to work on Steam.

I was just about to ask if it works for steam, I was about to buy it on there and download this mod...

You guys have to be kidding me. There is no steam support!

The steam version of the game is patched by Rockstar deliberately to disable mods, as they did with their re-released retail version after the hot coffee mod matter occured.
Rockstar has done a similar move with GTA4.
