Mike will be our new Audio/Video engineer, we have lots of new plans for sounds and a new opening trailer.

Check out one of his earlier videos

Models Rework

I will be doing more work on the details of a lot of our models. The Miranda class is a favorite of mine so it will get lots of attention.

Also, I will be making new meshes for when the borg assimilate ships :)

This will take a while and I will first work on elites, then cruisers.

Btw developers, you did an incredible job on the new update. The sound effects, the UI interface, the update skins, and many other things look incredible. You get a 10/10 from me on the quality here.

The first faction I played on the new update was the Romulans and I had a question concerning the Tal Shiar Command Center research under the Senate category. How do I gain access to this special operatives or command centers? I looked on my envoys and on my planetary construction options and there seemed to be no commander center option. Any idea on where I can access this feature?

Assuming you're asking about the research that is actually under the Star Navy section, that's the extra building you start with at your home planet. It starts with a sabotage ability that greatly improves the defensive capability of your home planet, and the research unlocks a remote version for attacking. You cannot replace it.

There are starbases at some neutral colonized worlds that will allow you to build Ferengi and Tamarian cruisers and can be captured by attacking them till they go inactive and invulnerable, and taking the planet.

I don't visit the site much, I was curious, what happened to the TCMP add-on?

The add-ons needed minor tweaking to work with the new release. I guess I can get off my *** and release, I just needed a break after that last huge update.

I really wanted to do the original soundtrack to go with it, just cant seem to get into it.

Today in 1966, the first episode of TOS aired. When did you see your first episode?
Happy Birthday Star Trek :)

I would love to learn how to mod. I have ideas to make a Star Trek total conversion of Star Wars Empire At War, I know complete blasphemy :O
It would be awesome though. Controlling a squad of Klingon warriors on the battlefield.

Not to hard, lots of free tools. Start with Gimp, Sound Forge, Blender. Get in touch with other Trek modelers and start getting permissions. Some allow without asking like P81. Remember, always always always, credit other peoples work.

I would start by asking the community, no point if nobody likes the idea. It's a lot of work.

True but I really love the idea. Hence why I want to take it to a Star Trek community like here and STA3. Thanks for the tip! :)

You're going to have to basically make up, wholesale, ground forces. Redshirts with phasers and redshirts with phaser rifles doesn't get you real far. There are actually a few Trek mods that were in the works for it already, but I don't know how they've progress status wise, most mods die early.

I snooped around the Memory Alpha/Beta sites to look for vehicles. Hero units, ships, air vehicles (shuttlepods runabouts etc) are gonna be easy to create. Ground forces would be easy. MACOS would be commandoes, ground forces were shown in DS9 so that'd be all easy. However the only ground military vehicles would be the Argo which only appears in Nemesis. So that would just have to be something I come up with.
I love the idea but I just don't know how I would create it :/

That is true :/ It would be too much work for me haha I already have work and uni to worry about. I had an idea that each level progression progresses the player through each timeline. So it starts with NX era then to TOS then to TNG finishing at post Shinzon. And at level 3 the Borg appear at the end of the map. Of course the problem would be planets, terrain, where would all the factions sit? How many factions would there be? The list of problems would go on and on.
So yeah.
Probs not :'(
I would love to try and I would love to play it but its practically impossible. For me to make it at least.

A very enjoyable mod, with some great work at differentiating each race's play style. Good sounds and well realised ships (although I'd love to see them just a shade more detailed) and excellent research trees, especially those involving the need for allies. Ideally I'd like to see the titan mechanic realised for this mod, but with the gameplay as it is, it's not essential. Great work at encouraging the player to build a variety of ships, rather than the simple cap ship zerg rush we're all so used…
