Emperor by default is a well balanced game, but i wanted to add something that I think can enhance the game.

MAIN CHANGES

Added 3 new experience levels to units

All veteran infantry and vehicles can return to the building that produce them to increase the starting experience level of the relative unit. Entering unit's level must be greater than the actual experience level of the unit produced.

More weapons can fire both at air and ground targets.

Factions specific unit building queues have been divided. E.G. Now, if you use Atreides and conquer an Ordos War Factory you'll be able to produce Deviators and Sonic Tank at the same time.

All Factions can build Smuggler's Quad from War Factory (the Dune 2000 quad like units that you receive in the last mission). However you need the outpost to enable the production, it's building queue is the same of MCV and Harvesters.

Now Lasers don't react with Shields, no more mutual destruction. Yes, I've read Frank Herbert's Dune and I know that in the series of books a laser hitting a shield kills both attacker and the target, but i prefer this way ;)Selecting a sub-faction will enable more units or building of that kind.

Sardaukar and Ordos units starts with shields. Harkonnen and Atreides units gains shields with experience level.

All vehicles can crush infantry. Some vehicles will not crush infantry by default, but they gain the ability with experience.

Other Units added: Sardaukar Tank, Sardaukar APC. Structures added Ixian Mega Turret, Guild Mega Turret, Tleilaxu Living Turret.

And finally, after beating it on GameJOLT, our little first mini-game Chyrkyan Trial got its 1000 downloads between its profiles on ModDB and IndieDB: this is a small but great goal which means a lot for us, so thanks everyone who supported us as "real" game developers and not just as modders (we are the "creators" of the Rush to Supremacy mods' series).

Chyrkyan Trial is, however, just a very small and simple serial game and we bet most of you are expecting something with more action...

For those who still follow us for these mods

we wish to advice you that there will be no more updates, since we're now working exclusively on our own indipendent games such as STAR QUORK Cyoven'Hant, which can be already played through a public OPEN ALPHA multiplayer map downloadable both on ModDB, IndieDB and GameJOLT, where you'll find a sip of all the action you may need to have!

Mod looks very interesting! What is the progres of new udate?

If it is posible ad the atak ability. You pres A key and unit atak every thing on they patch.

Like the attack move of C&C Generals, Tiberium Wars, Red Alert 3, Blizzard's StarCraft and/or Warcraft?

Yes, it's a nice dynamic, but... I don't have any idea how to implement it in a mod and Emperor isn't very mod friendly.

At the moment there aren't any update planned. At the moment, any other changes on Emperor (like adding weapons/units) lead the game to crash at startup... So I prefer to spend time and modeling/programming skills for our own game project. Hope you'd like to follow also them

This game is very good but it needs 16:9 resolutions... I suggest to work on that

The game is old, it doesn't support 16:9 and there isn't resolution data in the .ini (like in Red Alert 2), but I managed to "force" it to 1920x1080 using the nVidia control Panel: under "adjusts the size and position of the desktop" there is an option like "methods of proportioning" check "Full Screen" and apply on "GPU". Take Emperor and set the highest resolution (except the 1600x1200, for some reason the gpu can't change that specific resolution).
This method will work with all games. It's not perfect like a true 1920x1080 but is better than 1600x1200.
I don't know if also ATI GPU has this features, but I think yes

I am positively surprised by this mod.
While only adding little content, by which I mean the simple twist of mechanics where upgraded units permanently adds their experience to future units, this mod actually gives me a whole new objective on each map.
I have only tested this mod for about five campaign missions and two skirmishes and have thus still much to explore, but so far I find it enjoyable.

I have found some oddities however, dont know which are mine and which come from the mod:
- Some units like quads and harvestes will not finish production unless other vehicles are being produced.
- Is there a point to the talax living turret? it just seems like a mediocre turret with no gimmic, unlike all their other units.
- had a single crash when a flame tank reached rank 5 (second red rank) by destroying a construction yard, will try to reproduce this one later.

Thanks for the review and for playing my mod.
Yes, there is a problem with the production lines of the quad and harvester due to the change of production queue (maybe I forgot to write it in the ReadMe): for some reason it looks like the factory can't handle well two productions at the same time under the vehicle tab.
The Tleilaxu living turret is the same that appears in the last mission, I will try to upgrade it with some ability in the next release.
For the game crash maybe it was accidental, but if occurs again in the same way, let me know.

If I may make a suggestion and if it's at all possible, maybe make the Tleilaxu turret turn enemies it's killed into contaminators or leech tanks?! :D That'd give it an amazing purpose, making it a "zombie" like the rest of the faction's units. ^^

Yes, the idea was that ;) And I think it's the right way to upgrade it, but I don't have idea if it's possible to add this features especially with different attack against infantry and vehicle (when i tried to add a weapon to some other units the game crashes, I've to figured out how to do this and maintain the game stable).
At the moment I'm programming a new indie game, but I'll try to find some time for Emperor
