Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Will you add faction X ?
A: We're not making any promises concerning upcoming factions, we follow our planning and eventually new factions are done.

Q: Will you add X item ?
A: If it fits our time frame then we will most likely add it as long as it is relevant, if it doesn't then we won't.
Items we won't do:
- Square Scutums
- Segmentata
- Corinthian Helmet
Stop requesting these please.

Q: Faction X is so OP/UP (overpowered/underpowered)!!!
A: That's not a question. Also we tested everything against everything in multiplayer a dozen times already and as far as I'm concerned it's relatively balanced. It seems to work decently in SP too so if all you have is one random empiric occurrence where you got your ass handed to you that won't be convincing of a faulty balance.

Q: Is the mod dead?
A: No.

Other things worth mentioning:
We do our own research so please be so kind to not point towards Rome II as a historical reference, we appreciate actual history books and physical evidence over movies/videogames. We do have a planning for what we are doing (most of the time) so there is no point in suggesting to us what our next move shall be. Thank you for reading the F.A.Q. and twice the thanks for reading the F.A.Q. before posting a question already answered in it.
- Rome at War Team.

After taking a break for the summer we're starting weekly shieldbattle events once more! You can find all relevant information here:

In short: No signing up is required, the event will always be hosted on the latest mod version, using officer, cavalry, skirmisher or elite classes is frowned upon and don't act stupid. Everyone is welcome to join!

We lack props but I've made placeholder generic scenes for the next version so no more Native scenes.

Does that mean all the native scenes now have a more ancient looking scene?

With the limitations we have, yes. Don't expect anything too fancy, it's just placeholder scenes to ditch the broken native ones, also they are repeated as I don't have much time nor resources to dedicate to proper "final" scenes.
Some examples that might be slightly outdated:
No point making a preview for them as they're not meant to stay, it's a bit better than fighting in the streets of Native's Shariz in the middle of Italy.

Those certainly look fancier than the native ones. Repetitive or not, they still look good. It's unfortunate that there's a lack of Greek props, but it's not a major problem as there's the Roman props that look similar (which you seemed to improvise well with).

Most likely a memory related problem, I had a lot of these with my old pc when playing mods like Floris and 1257 AD, back in the day this thread helped me -> I'd say to avoid using the music pack as it adds a load on memory and if possible tell us more about your computer specifications, in the main Warband folder, the one where the game is installed and the executable/launcher is there is a file called rgl_log.txt, it keeps track of what happened in your last play session and your computer components, send me the content of the file via PM as it can be a bit extensive and I might be able to tell more about your problem.
If all else fails make a sacrifice to Athena.

The 32 bit OS is what is holding you down with the memory problem as it isn't using the 4GB of RAM you have, a 64 bit system can handle more RAM consuming operations like playing games, using complex programs, etc... If I recall correctly Microsoft should allow you to perform an upgrade freely (always back up your files!).
You can read more about it here:
It's for windows 7 but you can easily search for the Windows version you are using, it should help you with other games too.
