Roma Surrectum 2 is a full conversion mod to Rome Total war 1.5 and the predecessor to the original Roma Surrectum mod featuring unique Roman legions, new factions, units and a stunning high detailed map. Roma Surrectum 2 is developed for Rome Total war, but it will also run on both of it's expansions, Barbarian invasion and Alexander.

I've had too many CTDs with this mod, an I'm finally giving up on it. It runs fine in campaign mode, but 50% of the battles crash at the very end, and I've just lost two very big battle wins inbetween a turn, so I couldn't save each one individually. I've never had any Total War game crash as much as this, and Rome must have only crashed once in the 200 or so hours I put into the game before installing the mod, so it's pretty obvious it's the mods fault. I don't get any other games crashing all the time, and I play alot of varied games, so it isn't my own PC that's the problem either. It really annoys me when you get someone who thinks their smart and because they don't have any issues themselves they think it must be that persons fault. I feel like I've just wasted an hour of my time today. It's such a shame as the mod looks vey good otherwise, and certainly freshens the game up alot.

Well, if I use your same argument and go on a comparison of CTD's using vanilla and this mod I have to say it is pretty obvious your problems are not related to this mod and must be on your end as I have yet to have EVEN A SINGLE CTD in the about 12 hours I have put into 2.6 so far.

Where were you previously talking about "the kind of person I'm talking about who is completely ignorant to other peoples problems and responds to them in a condescending tone"? Ah, I see now but who the hell were you talking too then?

You are the kin of person who doesn't seem to like the fact that someone would dare post an experience with this mod that runs counter to your unfortunate experience as the first person thought it was asinine for you to post something like " I don't get any other games crashing all the time, and I play alot of varied games, so it isn't my own PC that's the problem either." and not expect someone with a positive run with RS to post something in defense.

I am not sorry life seems to be too much for you.

And you are the kind of person who throws crap at others for stating their bad experience with a game, even if you know they might be right.
How many posts of people having this problem have you been replying with the same answer? Counting this one, I can count 2. You behave like an ******* instead of giving people an explanation on why the mod couldn't be the problem.

In my personal experience the mod has crashed a lot. The first day I played this mod it crashed 1 or 2 times. The second day I played this mod it crashed every time I tried to beat a siege. I tried it 7 or 8 times and it crashed every single time. Next day same issue. Fourth day I was able to beat it and it didn't crash once. Fifth day it crashed 4 times, 1 when ending a battle, 1 at the end of a siege, 1 when returning to campaign map and the last one a while after beating that siege when managing my settlements on campaign map.

I have reinstalled and put graphics in minimum and it didn't solve anything. I've put 600 hours in RTW and it never crashed on campaign, only while playing multiplayer, so it's right to assume it's the mod causing it.

... what? Who are you talking to? All I can suggest is that there might have been a problem installing it. I know it's a very large, long installation; I had to redownload mine at first.

It's really worth it though. :)

Also, try adjusting graphics settings or anything else; the mod is very resource intensive over the original.

Thanks for the constructive reply, I'll try playing around with settings a bit more to see if something is triggering it off. It runs pretty well, no better or worse than other Total War games have for me, but I guess there could be some kind of memory leak thing going on.

This game is great and very detailed. The legions look great and the campaign mode for all factions is much larger and more difficult. This mod adds depth to the game and it never gets boring now. I absolutely love it. I would recommend this to eveyone who has Rome total war. Best mod for this game ive played.
