This is the full installer for Roma Surrectum II.
It is patched to the latest version, 2.5; and need to be installed over a clean Rome Total War install.
Here are the complete installation steps for RS 2.5 using this installer.
1 Have a clean RTW install (that is, no mods installed in it or any modified files) patched to 1.5, plus any add-ons as applicable patched to 1.6 for BI and 1.9 for ALX.
If you are unsure your install is clean, the best thing to do is to try to start a campaign.
2 Copy that folder, and paste it to the location of your choice.
Do NOT put it in the Program files ! (For Steam users who have no choice, be aware that you may encounter some issues with the launcher.)
The best thing to do is to create a new folder at the root of your hard drive (C:\ usually) called games, and copy/paste the RTW folder there.
The resulting path would be C:\Games\RTW.
3 Check that inside this RTW folder, you have the exe(s), as well as several folders including data.
You might want to rename the RTW folder to something like Roma Surrectum II.
The new path is going to be C:\Games\Roma Surrectum II.
4 Double click on the installer called Roma Surrectum 2.5.exe (you might not see the .exe part if you have the file extension view disabled in windows).
5 Once you the installer asks you where to install RS 2.5, you'll have to click on the "Browse" button, and select the Roma Surrectum II folder we have just created. Click ok.
Under "Destination Folder", you should now see the correct path, that is in our case : C:\Games\Roma Surrectum II.
If you are in the least bit unsure about the installation path and this step, it is highly advised that you follow exactly the steps as described above.
6 Now click on the next button, and change the default name of the Start Menu item if you so desire.
It is advised to leave it as it is.
7 The mod should install itself, as well as create a shortcut on your desktop.
You should now be able to play RS 2.5.
Warning : It has been reported that the launcher does not have admin right by default.
If you encounter troubles with the launcher, go to C:\Games\Roma Surrectum II\launcher.
Right click on the Roma Surrectum II.exe file, select properties.
Go to the compatibility tab (the second one from the left in WIN 7), and check the "Run as an administrator" checkbox.
Apply the change, and it now should be ok.

I tried running it and it just laggs the computer and nothing happens
you need to doubleclick the exe file on that add-kinda-screen-thing(dont doubleclick the red download button, that doesnt work) you wil be sended to a website called gamefront. i think i had the same problem as you so this should help you out.

hello there, I downloaded this and made it through all the steps in the description detail. But when I ran the launcher, selected my faction and hitted 'Play Roma Surrectum II', I got the following error:
first, something along the lines of: 'An error occurred, please report the next three messages.' (I'm not sure whether this is the place, should I also post it to the TWcenter forums?)
so I wrote them down:
message 1: "You don't have Roma Surrectum II installed in the correct folder (F:\Raom Surrctum)"
message 2: "Engine: RomeTW-ALX.exe, Faction campaign: _modplay_Capua"
message 3: "In total: 'RomeTW-ALX.exe-mod:paly_capua-show_err'"

this is pretty late, but there is an option for what dlcs you have for rome total war, you may have the wrong dlcs selected.

For some reason the mod isn't downloading via the download button. The download says 0.0/1.3 GB and doesn't change =( Anyway to fix this?

im pro in rome total war i played the campaign out with 7 factions and i want something new this is perfect
download speeds are very low.. any reason?

I cannot get this to work for my life! I installed it correctly, I'm sure. (Followed a step by step video on youtube.) I open the program and I select steam on YES, enter my steam name, and my nation and I get the error "Failed to find steam." I've been at this for days now and I don't understand it. If anybody can help me out, it'd be MUCH appreciated. I Have also tried it with steam set to no, and I get the same error. --Yes I have the Steam Version..
i have installed the Rome anthology series and have installed roma surrectum 2.5 and when i click on play the rome total war screen starts and then the screen goes blank except in the top left hand corner i get some text about a beta GTA Vice beta by some russian??????? Any explanations from anybody would be much obliged

Is this standalone? It says im missing scripts and things which makes me assume that i need the original Roma Surrectum 2 download, however, i am apprhrensive of doing this due to time, especially if i find out it's unnecessary. Any help? I followed a Youtube video by SaphirePhoenix step by step.

For some reason i can't start the campaign as any faction, when i click on play a message appears saying 'please pick and item from the list' although i have already selected the faction and started the game.

Can some one plz help me. For some reason when i play this mod i lag so much but, i can play every other game i have on the highest(ultra) quality's like, just cause two, total war shogun two, crysis 2 and all the others.So why do i lag????
