Rock 24 takes place on an abandoned Cliffside prison.
The prison is situated on the side of a sheer cliff face meaning the only real way in and out is by air. The combine have moved in to the facility and are re-using it as a place to hold rebel leaders and other important Rebels.
Gordon is required to infiltrate, free the Rebel leader and hopefully escape from the facility alive. Unfortunately the prison is rapidly deteriorating around him and there isn't much time.
Rock24 was in production for 9 months as a spare time personal project by two guys who work in the games industry. This is their first mod and attempt at level design.

Rock 24 is a Single Player Mod for Half Life 2. This is our first mod and attempt at level design. Hope you enjoy!
Story:
After a disastrous rescue attempt to free Richard G Newell, a renowned rebel scientist, Dr. Gordon Freeman awakes to find himself locked in a holding cell on a mountainside prison facility dubbed 'Rock 24'. His new mission, locate and free the rebel scientist and escape the collapsing combine prison.

one of the best mods for half life 2 ive played. great leveldesign and survival gameplay. that falling lift was fun. i give it overall a 9/10.
Can't find it :/ Only a video.
This is one of the best single-player mods for HL 2 so far, although some parts are a bit trickier than the general HL puzzles. It did seem to stutter on occasion, but all in all, it reminded me of the original Half-Life, crawling around in the air ducts, fighting grunts....

Great mod! The voiceacting is the best I've seen so far in any mod, and the gameplay is great. I really laughed when the captain abandoned his ship in the first level :D
I love this mod, great voice acting and story, I didn't even feel like Gordon Freeman, more like a rebel escaping! I give it a complete 10. I was hoping for it to be longer but, man was it a great mod!
maping is good this mod i great :D
I loved the mod and I beat it truly it wasn't like the other mods that are boring and short. This one kept me awake, and the voice acting was very good compared to awakening which was horrible.
just after using the first elevator theres a guard and a poison zombie i killed the guard and then started work on the zombie it threw a headcrab at me then the game hun with an error message saying "pure virtual function call" i cannot remember anymore sorry:(
Great fun to play and good story throughout the game. The whole package was great quality, especially the boat fight was impressive. Only thing I don’t understand is why you had to play Freeman, that’s so lame.
Still a very good mod with an action packed ending, hope to see more.
