Rock 24 Promo Video 2
Sep 22, 2006 Movies 0 commentsA short promo video showing a small area of Rock 24.
Rock 24 takes place on an abandoned Cliffside prison.
The prison is situated on the side of a sheer cliff face meaning the only real way in and out is by air. The combine have moved in to the facility and are re-using it as a place to hold rebel leaders and other important Rebels.
Gordon is required to infiltrate, free the Rebel leader and hopefully escape from the facility alive. Unfortunately the prison is rapidly deteriorating around him and there isn't much time.
Rock24 was in production for 9 months as a spare time personal project by two guys who work in the games industry. This is their first mod and attempt at level design.

Really really good work. Fun puzzles, awesome scrpting great job guys. You should be real devs! 9/10!
Excellent mod, 10/10. It was fun to play, the levels were visually appealing( and practical) and I had a helluva lot of fun playing. Valve quality material. One thing that did kind of bug me was the rather monotonous voice acting, it was lacking emotion and just felt like people were just reading the lines off.
Really fun but at some points I felt that I wasn't given a realistic clue on the location of the button or objective I had to find to go on, for example, the pipes. If I wasn't the kind of person who walked around hitting everything and happened to know the exact sound a breakable metal object made in HL2 I wouldn't have figured that out. Great content though, the voices and scripted sequences were superb. Hope to see more from you guys.
Just brilliant. MINERVA is still a lil bit better, but this one is a close second. 9½/10
Just finished playing the mod and I have to say that it's incredibly well-polished. There are lots of nice subtle elements to the game that combine to make a very immersive and realistic whole. The levels are well thought through and time has been spent on making the non-essential areas of the map look like they belong so at times you actually need to think about where you're going before you can proceed.
The voice-acting is generally very good, although one of your allies towards the end does sound a little odd. The original music for the mod fits the mood perfectly and all in all this is a mod that is well worth the download!
Wow, that mod felt totally fresh. Very original, the introduction, the elevator scene or the part with the rolling rock on the stairs, for example.
:D
Your DL links don't work anymore. Guess you linked to agressively to your filefront file, for example. Maybe you should try this one

Hey all,
Wanted to post a bug I found in the mod, but first want to say how much fun I had playing it. Keep up the great work! Very good, solid voice acting and very enjoyable gameplay. I hope to see more mods from the "Two Blokes"! ;)
Now, about the bug. This will contain spoilers, so read on at your own (game playing) risk!
At the final level, before you have to press the button at the same time as the rebel scientist, you are required to disconnect the switch that controls the force field, by blowing up the explosives in the cabinet. I have had the experience that if I set off the explosives in the cabinet BEFORE the rebel scientist suggests to do so, I was unable to continue.
I have downloaded the latest version of the mod from the website as mentioned above (today, in fact). I know this bug is not terribly irritating and will not hinder the game playing experience much, but I thought I would mention it. It is of course easier to eliminate the combine guards/soldiers by lobbing grenades in the room than going one-on-one with them, but the risk of blowing up the cabinet is there.
On a final note, I have to agree with jamsoup. There are many mods out there that fail because they focus to heavily on the wrong aspects of mod design!
