Robbery
Half-Life 2 mod | TBD
Robbery is going to be a mod of hl2dm, it won't have single player, most likely. The mod will take place at different maps which are simply houses(anything from a normal house to a mansion to a bank), the player will either be a Thief or a Keeper.
The thieves can buy items such as nightvision, a crowbar, pistol and such. Thieves will be able to do many things, such as cutting the power to a house. Then using nightvision to get around unseen. The Keepers can use basic items that you would find around a house, such as: a hatchet, knife, sledgehammer, etc.
The Keepers will have custom buy menus for things such as: security cameras, traps, and a lot more. Currently we are thinking that the thieves are going to be a bit overpowered and so the housekeepers will get some other cool things too(like a blowtorch =D).We will also have stuff such as presents at christmas time, spookier at halloween, etc.
To make the game a bit creepier, some floorboards creak when stepped on, so the housekeepers may have the power go out and suddenly hear creaking floorboards.

Not much to report, a good amount of the coding is now done and we are trying to get some maps made and models done. A skinner/texture artist would definitely be a plus though. The permanent site for Robbery will be up soon! Depending on how fast models and maps are completed, this could very well be one of the fastest mods made for half-life 2 that is completely playable. It will go into internal testing probably within the month.

this is a very cool concept. may i suggest mace for the keepers. how bout rocks for the robbers so u can throw them to make noises in other rooms etc.

- Viewscreen (must have to see live camera feed)

- Ice Maker (has 5 uses, sprays ice on ground causing thieves to slip)

Thieves:
- Lockpick kit
- Crowbar
- Trampoline
- Wire cutters
- Silenced pistol
- Knife
- Cloroform
- Nightvision
- Flashbangs
- Noisemakers
Those are the current planned items available on the first release. The noisemakers will work a bit like the rocks you suggested except will make the sound of footsteps thus more effective.

Yeah I've got actually about half of the basics coded. Just need a mapper and modeler.
Do not ignore Hax. He apparently seems to be apart of the team.

Not many updates, we need coders and maybe modelers/animators. I'm pretty inactive currently but the rest of the team is still working on it. The new website can be found at www.robberysource.com. There are new screenshots to show how much has been done since what's posted here.
