Rise Of The Reds is an expansion mod for Generals: Zero Hour which adds the Russian Federation as a fully independent faction in addition to making extensive additions to the old factions USA, China and GLA. Later on, we will also include the European Continental Alliance as a second fully unique faction, as well as three special generals for each faction, an in-game general selection, faction-specific naval units and much more. Whether it's steamrolling Russians, indomitable European defenders, American high-tech, Chinese strength in numbers or the brutal cunning of the GLA - ROTR has a faction for everyone, all in one mod!
A definate 10 out of 10 this mod has high potential and yes its in early stages but every update gets better and better (obviously) and i would encourage the SWR team the modders who have made this happen to continue modding because i would say that they are attracting more and more attention every day but I WOULD LIKE THE MODDERS TO HEAR ME OUT THAT I WOLD LIKE TO ASK THEM IF THEY COULD READ SOME OF MY COMMENTS THAT I HAVE MADE ON THE GLA ROTR BETA DOWNLOAD IF THEY COULD MAKE SOME TWEAKS AND CHANGES IF POSSIBLE AND ADD SOME SHOCKWAVE UNITS PLEASE I THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE WOULD AGREE WITH ME :D

I'm new to the whole moding community, but I have to say if I saw this game in a store. I would buy it at full price. The thing that makes a mod good is the refinement and. The fluidity of gameplay and story and art design. There is only a few other mods out there with this much refinement and attention to detail and not to mention a sense of professionalism. This is one of the few mods that I would go out and buy its core game just for the mod And One the best thing of this mod is its still not done from a hard-core gamer told those who create such mods. Thank you
Even though the mod is still in development, the developers show a lot of passion about their work. The greatest part about the mod is not that it's just a good idea build into the game, but the amount of detail the team put into the game. While playing, it really seems like you're playing an actual company-made game, since even the UI and the spirit and voice of every unit is worked out in detail.
The game is incredibly balanced as well; the development team is taking extra good care to make sure one side is not terribly overpowered. This is a huge challenge, since they added two new factions to the game. Usually modmakers just add an incredibly powerful faction to ensure people enjoy playing with too much power, but not SWR. They are completely reworking every faction from the ground up to make them all unique and balanced.
All the factions are a lot of fun to play up till now, even if the ECA is not included at the time I'm writing this review. The all-original generals haven't even hit the field, while they are the main reason I'm interested in the game. Rise of the Reds is definitely worth a try, even if the original game is years old by now.
i loved the new units. but what i really loved was the russian faction.
well maybe because whenever i play red alert 1 or 2 i tend to side with the soviets. LOVE It. i would like the next verson to be out soon. but i got Shockwave and other game to play while i wait.

And the last note ofc... This mod is a high quality mod that has been a lot of fun to me and not some piece of trash this is going to be more that a mod and thats what we all know :)
