Rise of the Reds: Two Decades after Zero Hour.
After almost a year of inactivity we are finally back in action and have a with a new home at E-Studios. If you're just now joining us, we have changed our image from what we used to be back at Revora. We've begun a massive overhaul of the Russian faction and we are now happy to introduce the European Continental Army or ECA for short,into the ROTR conflict. The ECA originates from the mod "Rise of Europe" whom have now merged with the ROTR team. A vast majority of their content will be available for their Generals.
Rise of the Reds will add these two factions into the "General's" world, and stay true to the style of the original game in both design and gameplay. In addition we will improve the gameplay of the original game and fix balance or bug issues.
Features: New Content and General Selection
Rise of the Reds is a mod for Zero Hour which takes place several years after the Zero Hour storyline. A storyline in which entangles all 5 factions in a battle royale for both global influence and superpower status.
We're planning to scrap a the old Zero Hour Generals with ALL NEW ones with it's own unique General selection.
First you select your side: Russia, USA, ECA, China or GLA. Then once you are in game you will be prompted as to which general you wish to play, who you will then select at the Command Center.
There will be 3 Generals per faction, making for a total of 15 playable Generals - each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. We have decided to base ROTR solely around these Generals so there will be no "vanilla" or parent factions in the traditional sense. The new generals are listed as follows.

Unique Skirmish Maps :
For extra content, we will be releasing skirmish maps rather than full blown campaign, these maps will follow the storyline's war and will lead you across the globe. More on that later ;)
The next version of RoTR, is just on the horizon and will see it's release soon. That version will include improved AI, new units and strutures for the 12 factions, 3 generals for each faction. The next version will not have ECA, as we are not done making that faction at the moment.
Overall we hope you will be excited with our new ROTR as we are. Stay tuned for more updates in the future. Please also jump into our forums for your comments and up-to-date news with the mod and join an active community where you will eventually be able to play online. We've had a fan base in the past and with our revival we expect old fans to revisit us and maybe new ones to join in with the fun, so don't be surprised if they expect a few games with other fans!

This is Eric Brice reporting for ECAN News giving you the up-to-date broadcast over the Russian advancement over our Union.

The morning started off with the roaring sound of rockets to many Europeans today as ECA Missile interceptors were launched to stop Russian attacks on ECA installations. From what the ECA Intelligence can gather, most of Russian advancements begin with the launch of their missiles to destroy ECA positions and then mobilize their troops to engage the softened forces.
ECA officials ensures interceptor missile sites will continue to fire on Russian missiles every day at every hour...

Conflict continues at the Belarian front as Russian forces continue to pour in from the East. ECA Battle Battalions have so far been meet with heavy Russian armament. Reports from ECA officials state that current tank armor have proven ineffective against Russian battle tanks, including the massive Russian Sentinel tank. European forces have begun a massive retreat towards more fortified positions due to the heavy Russian opposition at the front.

At another area of Belaria, ECA forces rallied around the battered front lines have begun a massive defensive strategy ato move west in order to construct an array of entrenched defensive positions around the Polish border to wait the imminent Russian invasion. Civilian evacuation out of Belaria continue as Russian forces close in several cities in the region. Civilians are urged to follow ECA officials and proceed to safe zones across Europe.

A massive European effort has begun to develop more effective defensive positions to hold out the Russian bear for as long as possible. Our American allies across the sea have pledged to send help as soon as they can. They are expected to send reinforcements sometime this month. So far our long time Chinese allies have not sent word but have talks within their government to send aid immediately.

Hello again ROTR fans
Once again we are here to provide you with the latest news from the ECA front and as you may have been told from the News, it's defense based.
In the original Rise of Europe mod, the ECA utilized single tower type defenses, one for AT, another for AA and one for Anti Personel. Very similar to Ironside's defenses from ShW except without the need to upgrade a slab. Since our Russians already included the component tower feature, our team decided to mix it up a bit and we've come up with some interesting results:

As you may be able to tell, the ECA defenses will be some of the most cost-efficient and effective defenses in ROTR. Able to construct Fortifications with ease, a ECA player can bunker down for an incoming early game rush, with the ECA Batteries the player can lay waste to incoming enemy units and the crew assigned to the Battery can gain veterancy. A unique advantage over other faction's defenses (and its not the only one
). One other thing to note is, General Willem or the "Royal Guard" General will be able to upgrade to more resistant and heavily fortified positions.
Finally would like to announce that these defenses are just but 2 of the many defensive positions for the ECA, of which we will provide you later. ![]()

Btw.: Negro is a standard signification for Africans or Afroamericans in Czech. So bye bye. Negro = černoch. It isn't thought rasistic. I hate fully other colored men then Afroamericans - the Gipsies. They are a big problem in Czech Republic... Na tuto menšinu platí jen varianta hlazení - hladit, hladit, až by se úplně vyhladili (extermination). As I said, my English is quite bad, so I understand only something and I can write something other, then I think originally.
I don't think that's really the word to use around here...
