Air raids continue at an alarming rate, the Russian air force continues to harass ECA airfields and installations. With the ECA air force limited to a few numbers, they cannot intercept the Russian aircraft and other airborne assault helicopters properly. ECA officials call for an emergency anti air solution for the Russian menace.

Unidentified aircraft have been spotted near the Polish border today, probably in the state of reconnaissance or in search of any valuable targets. ECA forces have been unable to shut down these-

Currently our ECAN helicopter has spotted Russian forces currently capturing the town of

- it is unknown if ECA forces have survived the attack, the ECAN helicopter is safe but it seems that the Russian forces have allowed them to fly in the area.

It is unclear if our allies will come in time, as much of the eastern border now lies in utter chaos. ECA forces and Russian forces struggle in a battle everyday and so far things seem grim. We will not lose hope however as ECA officials have assured us that these loses may be just to slow down the Russian advancement for what seems to be a strategic withdraw and reorganization to create a counter attack and stop the advancement once and for all.

Comrades, I am delighted to be bringing you this month's update, and my first Media Update for Rise of the Reds.

We bring you a very special treat this month, taking the wraps off two of our Russian faction's aerial units.

First up is the Mi-24:

The Hind gunship is a veteran of conflicts spanning decades and has been active in all theatres of war. Reliable in the most hostile conditions, it is still favoured by the Russian Federation to the present day. The Hind can stow up to a total of six infantry and carry them safely and expediently into the thick of a hot zone, soaking up a considerable amount of damage. What the Hind can take in damage, it can also dish out: the gunship's nose mounted cannon can dispatch infantry threats with ease while the rocket pods reduce enemy armour to molten slag. Although slow at accelerating, the Hind is capable of reaching a considerable top speed. It will be the one to watch as it undergoes further refinements to increase its combat effectiveness. With the Igla missile upgrade, the gunship gains two wing-mounted air-to-air missiles to ward off aerial threats, enabling it to carry out incursions more effectively.

Last we present you the PAK:

Russia continues its air superiority over many hostile regions with the PAK. When the need arises, the PAK can be scrambled to engage enemies in its air space within minutes. The unit is highly survivable, capable of putting great distances between itself and anti-air fire in a few seconds.
