Hello Reds fans!
It's been a while since our last update but the wait is finally over: The new version is here!
Now, I could blabber on about some random stuff but I don't think that's something you guys care much about anyway, so let's head on to the features list right away:

Version 1.72 includes a wide range of new additions such as...

- Elite Navy SEAL frogmen, Guided Howitzers, mobile Field Hospitals and high-tech WASP Hives for the USA
- Heavily armed Mil Mi-40 Hunchback gunships and Sentinel Arena systems for the Russian Federation
- Covert GPS Scrambler Stations, fast Mortar Buggies and lethal Gazelle Toxin Sprayers for the GLA
- Zealous Volunteer Squads, fiery Pyro Technicians and powerful Nukeneer artillerymen for China
- Various model updates, including new strategic air assets for China and the unparalleled AC-17 for the USA
- A slight revision to the tech tier system that should allow for more tactical variety in the early game phase
- The Limit Superweapons option has been replaced with a more practical No Superweapons option
- Several bug fixes and balance changes (such as for the nigh-infamous GLA Grad)
- Completely revamped AI settings for an even greater challenge
- Various new and improved sound and special effects
- Additional Download - A map pack including over 120+ new maps

We also have new techtree posters for all existing factions available for you guys. You can grab the high-res versions of these from our download page.

Also, while all of you are waiting for the download to finish, you can check out the final 1.72 changelog here

When can we expect challenge mode back? I'd really love to play Vanilla Russia against all the generals. I don't need a new challenge mode, just the old one with no-general Russia is all.

If I wanted to reactivate this what tools could I use?

do you have a Story mode for a campaign in 2.0 ?? and if there is a campaign will it be as you formerly said (like on a huge world map and yo work on invading territory by territory? )

is it me, or is the pathing for the units a bit to slow? what i mean by this is that, sometimes, when i order a unit to move somewhere, it literally just stays there

agree but the HIND is the big guns which originally was meant to be a gunship but the design had some left over of about 6 troops (compact) the hunchback should have

1:either more space for CANNON FODDER conscripts etc.
OR
2:Buff main gun and change the bomb drop ability to as weapon toggle

Well I was thinking making the Hunchback an Assault transport with a bunker and auto cannon but that would be like making an Assault Chinook of USA or Helix of China...however the Thermo Bombs are heavily effective against medium to light units so...I'll take back what I said ^^...and the range of the Auto cannon is also a very big advantage...However the Hunchback should have something unique about it...I mean infantry transport is too common...

Great release guys, it has crashed 2 out of 3 games already. You sure you didn't overdid it and broke the poor engine? =P I say this because it seems to die when there's a whole lot of action going on on the screen, and maybe combined with the new AI the engine can't keep up.

actually this happens on Weak processors...I have mine always crashing...But I tried on a Core 2 Duo and it works fine...but not on Dual core or below...consider having more then 4 players will cause crash...

I'd hardly call in i7 a weak processor =P It seems to be running fine now though (except for the slowdown due to graphics and AI pathfinding)
