Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

The SWR Productions team hopes you all had a happy holidays
and a comfortable transition into the year of 2015.

We would like to thank everyone who voted for us in the ModDB Players Choice awards. Although we didn't get ranked better than last year we did get an honourable mention!

With all the celebrations now over, we will continue with our Recycler updates by taking a look at the what the Russians offer at Tier 2.

The Recycler can be armed with a heavy rotating artillery cannon which can fire a powerful but somewhat inaccurate barrage of explosive shells at your enemies.

For the Ural truck you can opt to replace the Stinger armed soldiers with a powerful surface-to-air missile array which is similar to the Russian Grumble in range and performance.

Additionally, we would like to remind all of you out there that we
will be continuing or live streams starting this upcoming Sunday:

Countdown until the stream starts

Only two missiles, I'm pretty sure S-125 'Neva,' in production since 1961. On one hand, they should be capable of ditching them with countermeasures, but on the other, when properly applied, it is also the only missile that actually has a combat kill against a stealth aircraft. (At least officially.)
So, frankly, all bets are off, and I can't ******* wait. Well, I can, but you know...

That's just cause S-125 radar system works on different wavelength. Not on that wavelength that stealth technology works. :) Probably the case when old thermoemission lamps beat super-duper absorbing and reflecting materials and strange aerodynamics.

I think most radars can do that, and, at the very least, the ones in question were modified to run on longer wavelengths.
And they were only on for less than 30 seconds at a time.
And there was no SEAD support for that missions, or somesuch.
And the plane had its bomb bay open.
And a whole long list of details that helped with it, I just didn't want to write an essay on it.

Of course, there are details that created such situation. Support missions, radioelectronic warfare, opened bay. Including one that F-117 and B-2 stealth systems are based on soviet book of Petr Ufimtsev "Method of edge waves in the physical theory of diffraction".

It's just stealth is sooo overrated and overestimaded technology right now so that bothers me... Maybe with proper metamaterials situation will be different. In the foreseeable future...
