Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
Handpicked from the most elite commandos the US Navy has to offer, the SEALs (SEa-Air-Land) are called upon whenever there is some covert wet-work to take care off. They are armed with compact submachine guns that fire devastating .45 calibre hollow-point rounds that allow them to chew through infantry without ever breaking a sweat, but lack the necessary power to penetrate even the most basic vehicle armour. In addition, these men carry pre-rigged C4 charges that can be placed and detonated to bring down even the sturdiest of structures within seconds. Every SEAL is also a certified combat diver and thus trained and equipped to negotiate even the most dangerous stretches of water in order to exploit the enemy's lack of a coastal defence.
nice now death comes from the water
:D can they swim ! :D
yes, it's says so in the description
nice thats ware i was waiting for
Saw this like yesterday in the morning :D lol
"A little C4 knocking on your door!"
we gotta run!
why?
C4 yourself!!
(ok bad pun sorry)
lol **** figures
"Who's your daddy?"
I am...
You're getting it all wrong! We can go baseballing together, or I can help you ride a bicycle! We will have fun!
Awesome skin, but maybe should add mask on face? (not a gas mask :P)
This unit will use unique animation or someone another unit?
ooh rah...
Aren't hollow points a teensy bit ineffective against body armor?
They probably use advanced hollow points. It IS like 20 years into the future :)
Bringing out the "it's the future" card i see, totally explains it XD
I like everything apart his head.. looks like a homeless..
Keep in mind that this is something you'd barely even see in the game due to the zoom and angle. Hence why we don't have high-res infantry textures/detailed faces. It only eats away processing power for something that you wouldn't even look at under normal gameplay circumstances.
Hence you spend polies on other things that are normally unobserved or unnoticed in-game...
MARS, that BLUE (or any team color) homeless head is noticeable from thousand miles away :P
a swat head mask or something like that would fit much better!
either way i love this new unit GREAT IDEA!
homeless XD
nice nice cant wait for the full version
WOO!! JUST LIKE RED ALERT 2!!! XD
AWESOME!
I want a team of these SEALs with Red Alert's Tanya :D
Please tell me you are going to use the RA2 seal voices, that would be epic!
Yes we are!
SEAL ready!
"Enemy in my sight"
I know their not the same impressions but why theirs always someone copying on the first SEAL impression, I know their differentt but you know what I mean?, the first impression get many votes, but the second impression dosen't get amny votes, see what I mean?
Flank the enemies from behind. Ha HA Ha
I prefer giving them a helmet. SEALs nowadays don't use bonnets specially that they are always getting sent to tough missions.
maybe a ski mask instead of tha hat but everything else is top as alwys :P
Awesome SEAL! Although I do agree that he should have a compact helmet instead of a touque. After all, it's 25+ years in the future, and infantry seem to be getting more and more armoured as time goes by.
Talking realism in a game/mod that has Tesla weapons, vehicle-eating Anthrax goo and a futuristic Chinese army with 1950s style infantry tactics is kind of a moot point, isn't it? Of course we ain't going to add utterly ridiculous things like RA3, but when it comes to our designs, uniqueness and recognisability will -always- win over realism. There's only so much detail you can put into an infantry unit while staying true to the style of Generals and we rather wouldn't let that bit of design freedom go to waste by declaring that everyone totally has to wear a helmet.
Valid point. Besides, I guess there are still certain situations where a helmet would be more impractical than useful.
Nice!
I don't know if anyone notice the SMG, I think is called Vector, with silencer and red dot, I think?
all us soldiers wear either boonies or a helmet during combat so that wold add all the realism that u need and also seals haven't worn that hat since Vietnam plus that hat holds to much water and would mess up the seals shot

The only problem I have with these guys is their infantry only targeting. If they were stealthed I wouldn't care.
