Strange model. But excellent use, i hope it can carry vehicles too.
The chinese need a transport chopper too, will you brig back the Helix or you will make a new model? Also, could you add a gun on the nose of the Han?It looks pretty empty without it

We are going to re-include the Helix at some point. You will see it as part of the Red Army General's arsenal in 2.0, perhaps even earlier if we do decide to add it as a temporary vanilla unit. As for the Han, it HAS two giant-sized guns mounted on the sides. There wouldn't be much of a point in adding a third that'd basically be just a pea-shooter under the chin just to make it look more like any other random helicopter for no reason.

Thew idea is good, but the engines are too blocky, its something what deviating from the Russian essence. And Russian helicopters are more sleeker in design than American.

Above all else, they have to look rough, gritty and industrial, something that this helicopter does rather well right now and we generally don't change models AFTER we've shown them.

But this is little bit extreme.

What a facepalm Chinook ripover T_T
And pseudo-camouflage texture just makes facepalm more epic. Why, what for?!! What Russian copter designers did to you?
P.S. Hope this nuclear mutant does not exist IRL

I am little agreeing with you. I really dislike on it just the boxy engines. The rest is acceptable, it needs a bulky frame to carry a heavy loads close to the hull. But the engines looks like they were just stuck in and covered by some makeshift armor. When they will be put more to the hull, and the sides to be more sloped, it could be much better.

Generally, yes, engines look a bit wired, most likely because of that strange block after the front one. Wings look strange. But all it could be fine, if not the texture... This camouflage style is just horrible for aircraft.

Except for the fact that this is the same camo pattern used on the other buildable Russian helicopters, which in itself is somewhat based on actual RL patterns. Or would you prefer if we just paint the entire thing in some flat, dull grey or olive shade instead to make them look a bit less interesting?

Other "camouflaged" aircrafts are not so awful at least because models are better.
I mean that on this model that camouflage looks even worse than it could be.

In terms of basing on RL aircraft camouflage, on Halo it looks much better. You'd better change the color scheme, make it at least a bit lighter and not so green like this: Fas.org
or this: 2.bp.blogspot.com
or make it grayer like here: Imageshack.us
You had wonderful sky camouflage on PAK-FA, why not use some same style for other aircrafts?

Putting sky-camo on this monster would look absolutely horrendous and make it stand out from all the other buildable Russian attack helicopters. Plus, this isn't actually a thing that is in any way up for change at this point. All I did was provide some reasoning as to why it looks the way it does. You're free to either like it or hate it, but at the end of the day, it's not gonna change anything, especially since most people do seem to be fine with the unit.

Yes, sky-camo would suit better for your grass-color MiGs.
I don't really care if my comments will change anything, all I did is just wondered, why and what for.
I know, you are not likely to change showed models, that's what differ your mod from my ^_^

I found the concept in news update, will that modification with "ZOMG WTF OHSHI" gun be somehow available?
I think it will look better with it.

Back to the model, like I said, being "heavy and industrial" is good, but its simply too blocky. Halo is also heavy, but it has a style. Russians builds their helicopters more rounder, except for tanks and land vehicles. The shape is good, but interpretation is not.

It looks like the transport chopper from Russian Federation in End War.

Description

Originally conceived as a versatile medium-lift cargo helicopter for the Russian Navy in the late 2030s, the Mil Mi-40, affectionately called the "Hunchback" due to the peculiar shape of its airframe, can serve in a variety of combat roles. When the new helicopter made its first public flight during the World War II victory parade of 2042, General Orlov of the Air-Landing Forces commented that the Hunchback would have made a major difference during the disastrous African conflict in the previous year. A few days later, his Tula Division was the first unit to issue an order for a full squadron of Mi-40s to complement their Hind and Hokum gunships. The VDV's version of the Hunchback is equipped with an armoured cargo container that has enough internal space for up to eight fully equipped infantrymen. In order to provide immediate and decisive fire support to the ground troops after their deployment, this "assault transport" version is also armed with a powerful twin-barrel 23mm auto-cannon and has two weapon-hardpoints that can be loaded with free-falling thermobaric bombs.
