Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Mi-24 Hind is the Backbone of the Russian airforce. Though old, it is a well-tested design that has been through many conflicts of days gone by. The Hind is not only formitable, but also versitile; it can transport 6 Russian infantry to the heat of battle, dispatch enemy infantry with it's nose-mounted auto-cannon, take care of enemy armor with it's rocket pods, and can be upgraded with Igla AA missiles if there is a need to shoot down enemy birds. It's to the air what the Overlord is to the ground.

i'm loving the model. but even though i know the skin is acurate to the real thing, it doesn't tie in with the rest of the russion faction that you guys have made. i think you should try skinning it the same as your Buratino/kodiak/sentinel. or my personal favourite sheme for a hind, just one i made up: a light gray underbelly instead of sky blue. a darker gray for the main body instead of the tan, and black for the camo, instead of the khaki green. and provided that whoever chooses to play russia is faithful to their colour (red) it'll look great with the red sections. and even if they dont choose red, that's fine. because the base paint scheme is monochromatic, it'll go great with any colour, (lime green or orange looks especially sweet)
just a suggestion, hope to get some feedback, love the mod, keep up the good work.
Note that most of the Russian aircraft with the exception of the Berkut, have this exact color scheme.
I agree with NyangenRound, maybe you should change Russian air force's colors with blue, maybe???(just like PAK-FA)
It'll stay just as it is, as Russian aircraft belong to the VVS and it would make no sense for them to have the camouflage of a ground vehicle. Nor would it make sense for a helicopter to have the same camo as a fighter jet given the different altitudes at which each operate.
You can say whatever you want, but the official paintjob for Mi-24 is green camo.:D
Only naval aircrafts like Su-34/35 and Ka-35 have blue camo.
i love that design! i've seen hinds in many mods but none are as good as this one.
I just hope this does not replace the KA-50 Black Shark....Loved that helicopter.
Then you'll be happy to know that the Hind is only an addition. The Black Shark does make a comeback :)

i've always loved the ka-50 blackshark, but i think it would be interesting if you usd the ka-52 instead, or better yet, use both! but i dont think there'd be a need for both on the battlefield at once, so you guys could try making an upgrade at the airfield/helipad, that can replace all the ka-50s with ka-52s. or finally, you could make the ka-52 a unit purchase from the generals promotion screen. if none of these seem to appeal to you guys, mix and match the ideas untill you get something that you like.

Oh well still this hind (if it had more armor and infantry fireports) could be russia's epic unit.
I would say because its a heavy gunship man lots of fire power and "some" space was left over for infantry so originaly it was designed to be only a gunship but russians made some space for infantry :)
