Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
Fan-made singleplayer mission for C&C Generals Zero Hour: Rise of the Reds mod (version 1.82).
C'mon guys, make your own missions and upload it too!
It's a lot harder than it seems. Right now they're focusing on new units and mechanics.
I suggested it to players, not to developers. Developers are busy, I understand it. Wordbuilder is an interesting thing, so I hope somebody will be interested enough and make some custom missions to share.
(I had some practice with it, but I'm bad with scenaries, and now my "mission" is just a map where I can use all of the units and learn some scripting tricks, so I will never upload it)
youtube video on how the mission looks ?
Most self-made missions are bad and the mapping of the maps as well. (I'm not hating on your work I just want to know if the mission is good enough to be downloaded).
I send you a PM to avoid the spoilers.
what is your youtube channel so that i can see the video later?
That's the point I/we want to know if the map's good or interesting/different/ the reason to download this.
There are some things to polish, but it is not a big problem to complete it.
This mission is very easy
well no **** wesker, AI does kind of suck >_>
I like it ;)
Not bad for a first mission. I think my main criticism would be that it was a little on the unexciting side at times. As in, all I was doing was moving units through a map. I think the only real challenge came towards the very end. It also felt a tad unpolished around the edges, but not to a glaring extent. Certainly not enough to ruin the experience.
That said, I did actually like having to scout ahead (either using the Hopper gunner's binoculars, or the Troop Crawler scanner) to avoid running into an overwhelming enemy force. Even better was using a scout to bait smaller numbers of enemies back towards my proper combat units. I'm not sure if that was the gameplay style encouraged, but I found it was interesting and worked rather well.
More missions for ROTR.
