If any one of you calls this sacred place "Moraband", i shall summon the spirit of Naga Sadow, so that he could kick your butt straight into the void.

You know, I almost did... But then I thought, Lucas can kiss my ***. Katarn and others were still calling it Korriban so that's what it will be. Lucas wanted to change the name so that nobody would confuse it with Coruscant. Does he think we are all a bunch of chimps?

its also eventually became the meeting place of a new order of sith that managed to hide from the jedi until long after the lost tribe of the sith returned.

the lost tribe. like sith, but also works together like jedi.

Was also the hiding place of Darth Krayt and his followers all through the Vong invasion, until he was ready to reveal himself.

Basically, if there is a bad guy who uses the Force, they will eventually be found here :)

"Instead of two there is now only one - the Sith Order itself. I have recreated the Sith. I have given it a purpose. For what use is power without one?"

This, Mandalore, and Rhen Var are probably my favorite planets as far as their history goes. Such rich lore, I can dive into it all day and never get enough.

Less is known about Rhen Var than Korriban but yes, the mystery makes it an intriguing planet, for sure.

Description

Korriban, known by many other names throughout its dark history, is a barren world in the outer rim and was once the homeworld of the Sith species. In the ages even before the Infinite Empire, the Killiks first tried to conquer the world but were driven off by the native species. Then, the Rakata invaded but in time, they too were driven away. However, the aftermath of their attempt to rule the world saw the crumbling of Sith society as the effort to depose their would-be leaders cost the Sith greatly. So it was that the great tombs and structures on the planet would begin to erode as the Sith used captured Rakata ships to expand to other worlds, less effected by the costly battles. Korriban was left as a graveyard world where only the most fanatical of the Sith remained.

Over the millennia, Korriban has been temporarily resettled by various individuals, though usually it became the headquarters of the various Sith Lords who rose to dominance throughout history and the Sith spirits which inhabit the ruins and tombs there have been responsible for seducing a number of Jedi to the dark side.

Currently the world is bereft of inhabitants as the last power to control it, The Disciples of Ragnos, were driven off the planet by Luke Skywalker and several of his Jedi students, most notable Kyle Katarn and Jaden Korr.

Control of Korriban in game will grant a significant boost to dark Force users' defense and offense. Non Remnant players are encouraged to keep the planet out of Impierial Remnant control.
