It's late... I stayed up way too long to get this done. That said, I'll skip the history lesson on this one. We all know and love the Millennium Falcon anyway. So I'll simply post the picture and let the art speak for itself. The amount of small details in this one took F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Though, I do think I have done a swell job, if I may say.

Actually, I'm still convinced that Disney is sitting on a gold mine with Legends... They could totally just make movies for both universes. Or...and I know this is off topic and a slightly crazy idea...use the World Between Worlds to really great effect. We see in Rebels that it isn't bound by time as Ezra can see past things. What if the new canon was an altered timeline? As in, Luke saw a possible future of Han's son turning bad and tried to manipulate events to avoid that...but it happened anyway. So they have to use the WBW to go back and correct the timeline. Luke realizes that Ben/Jacen can't be saved...like his fall to evil is a fixed event (very Dr Who stuff here). It would need some work to explain everything. Snoke in particular. But it could be a great way to surprise re-canonize Legends. Think of all the toys they could sell! Lol
I wouldn't overthink it, as i doubt they will do this. Disney would see it as admitting defeat and it would get very confusing, the reason they supposedly ditched EU was for clarity ;)
Well they already royaly ****** the clarity part so... Yeah. But yeah, it won't happen.
It's only a matter of decades until the Disney-licensed books, and new 'expanded universe' is replaced by something else in its turn... At least the modding community for FoC is keeping the Expanded Universe alive and thriving here!
I'm salty because EU always was a goldmine, all it needed was a competent lucasarts and someone to direct alongside lucas. Did you know han solo toys are already on sale? Movie isn't even out yet.
Doesn't surprise me. However, part of it is their own fault. They haven't done ANY marketing for the movie. I'm open minded about it and will go see it but I fully expect it to be like a corny B movie. Like, fun and stuff but don't expect too much from it or you'll be disappointed.

Seems you had a similar thought process to us too, when we were talking about the Falcon a year back, we agreed that we'd need to do something about the dish, because mounting the same exact system back on doesn't really make sense.
Thanks Kad! Yes, I had the same exact thought. I even considered just having no dish but ultimately decided that Han wouldn't have just left his ship damaged. It may be a hunk of junk, but it's a beautiful hunk of junk in his mind.

Thanks! Yeah, most leave it alone. I needed to edit it for rotating turrets anyway so even if I wasn't updating the graphics, i would still have to make changes. It's such a cool ship though that I wish it got more love.

Love the dish on the Falcon, personally the new dish always made sense in my opinion the old one having been lost at Endor, like the mixture of Legends and Canon designs overall that's what I love most
