So I take it both Onderon and Dxun are in Galactic Conquest? If so, how are you doing the Dxun space map - above both Onderon and Dxun rather than in-between them?

This was something I debated for a long time actually. I think what i will have to do is have the Dxun space map be on the night side of Dxun. So, since Onderon is larger, youll see it peeking over the horizon of Dxun but most of the planet will be hidden...if that makes any sense.

Neat. Will Dxun and Onderon be attackable independently or will you have to, for instance, conquer at least Dxun's space first before moving on to Onderon?

I'm pretty sure I've seen another mod do the latter with trade routes between Kessel and The Maw (it might have been UEAW for the original game), but it would be more applicable here, I'd imagine.

They will be entirely independent. Im not a pro mission scripter and i think thats what it would take to pull that off.

Would it be possible to make Onderon only accessible via Dxun? Or is limiting jump routes like that not possible?

I honestly don't know but I can look into it.

Holy Schwartz! It almost looks like a new game at this point, or perhaps the sequel.

Looks great. Gives a nice feel of verticality which is mostly missing in EaW space combat.

That was part of the idea. I really want space to feel completely 3D.

Farseer's using a postprocessing program called Reshade.

Both Vithar and Jeroenimo are correct. The currently released version is like...6 years old now? I do also use ReShade with the game and I plan to release my ReShade config settings with the next version of the mod so that players can get the same results.

Most of what you're seeing here though is just texture work. The default game textures are quite low resolution. ReShade does enhance them a bit but most of the ReShade stuff isn't really done justice in these shots.

Am I just now noticing that the UI is transparent? Because that's freaking dope. Really gives it a whole new feel.

Description

What's better than a map with a planetscape/low orbit prop? A map that can have two! Enter Onderon and its closely orbiting moon, Dxun.

This space map features custom props made to help simulate what is essentially a binary planet system. Aside from the obvious planet props themselves, the starfield was custom made with just a splash of blue to hint at the thin atmosphere that is shared in the space between the two celestial bodies.

Other things of note: The beam laser -which I'm sure was noticed right away-, struts added to the Aggressor's guns per suggestions in its debut post, and finally the green nebula blob props. The original new nebula props I showed off were a kind of purple color, which looks great on some maps but bad on others where the background elements are not some shade of purple, blue, or red. To remedy that, I've made several versions of this with multiple colors to be used on the various maps where appropriate make it feel like the background nebula is creeping onto the actual map.
