Notice the new legs on the Ronto, first of all...they actually make mechanical sense now! Hopefully any engineers out there can stop squirming... Second, here is the new look for the Canderous. Designed to look like the Ronto in terms of aesthetic while trying to to strongly retain the original design as well.
I like that you stuck to the original design. Both vehicles got a really, really deep dark-goldish colour to them, how did you get the idea to use this particular colour? Really unique, I like it.
Thanks! I chose it because I guess its a color that isn't used all that often. Obviously there are some great examples in sci fi were similar colors are used...but slate grey is really futuristic cliché nowadays and I wanted something different :)
Personally I like the color, I just think the palette is too limited. It's different, but to me it has the same effect as the blank slate gray: lacking in variety.
I would vary color by part (some of the armor plates are distinguished by color as well as outline) and patterns/trim.
Regardless, very good job with the models.
That's kind of what they did with the stock Consortium units and I feel like it looked messy... I think a color scheme like that is more indicative of junk ships or things that are kitbashed. If the armor plating is made from the same material, the only thing varying the color would be paint. Just my opinion.

Ok, before I read the caption, I was all "transforming Canderous tank?! AWESOME!!!".
After reading, I'm more like "Well, it doesn't transform. But at least it still looks cool."
I, for one, like this..."dark gold" color. Though, it would stand out on most planets, wouldn't it?
