Picking up where the original Rise of Kobol proof of concept modification for BATTLEFIELD 2 left off....
We are happy to announce the beginning of the closed beta stage for Rise of Kobol II!
The new MOD team is trying to bring the rich and detailed re-imagined BATTLESTAR GALACTICA TV series (2003 to – ) to BATTLEFIELD 2.
You as a fan will be able to clime into a cockpit of a zero gravity or air capable Colonial Defense Force Viper MKII or a Cylon Raider.
Transport troops to the enemy capital ships with a Cylon Heavy Raider or with a Colonial Raptor.
If flying is not your thing, no worries we got all your Infantry needs covered! kit up & lock and load with the Colonial Marine Corps and fight off Cylon Centurion's from ground, air and space!
Rise of Kobol II will throw you into battle from all the aspects you know and love from BATTLEFIELD 2.
Play not only in space but on the ground as well, man a Colonial Marine Corps Mamba hover tank or a Cylon Specter tank.
You will also have access to Armoured Personal Carriers (APC), Static & Mobile Anti-Air Vehicles (AAV), Static & Mobile Artillery.
Plus a whole lot more!
The Rise of Kobol II MOD team's goal is to make a fun modification and to explore the “what if's” of the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA universe.

Hi everyone sorry but no release as yet we have had a few other issues but these are being resolved very quickly and we are just going though everything and getting the build ready for the last beta test.
We are just wanting to make sure that when we release this build you can download and play with no problem.
so if you can bare with us for a bit longer i am sure you wont be disappointed but watch this space as over the next few days i will try and get some new renders up for you to have a look at.
i'm okay with that. cuz this mod is so great
what about deleting the release date instead of changing it every week? ^^
Good Idea, sorry everyone we ran into some svn issue's and got set back. Updated news and renders will be posted a little later today.
