Unlike other crossbows, the Chinese "divine-arm crossbow" possesses an ingenious reloading mechanism that makes reloading far easier than it normally would be with a normal crossbow, resulting in added ammo per shot, so although Shenbinu Infantry are weak in range and attack, the sheer amount of projectiles they are capable of firing means that they are very deadly especially against melee-based units. Historically they had rather poor penetration power so Shenbinu infantry were equipped with venom-tipped darts, centipede and scorpion extract being the most favoured candidates.
