"Numbness and rage. Fright and anger. I open my eyes. Oh, well. My cell is pitch dark anyhow. "Block E1". I heard their inhuman voices. Lying on this cold metal bed, I stretch my arms along my sides. This must be the right posture to fit in a pod. I do not tolerate the idea of not being ready.
Yes, but ready for what? No, I won't give way to grief.
A squeaky sound... No, no way. It can't be true. The door opens, light replaces darkness. I will ask for a reason later. Now I have a choice to take. An easy one. I will run the hell out of here, whatever it takes. It's time to get a little revenge.
It's time to start my own riot act. "

Having downloaded the .exe (all 121gb of it) when I run it it says I don't have steam installed and then exits. My steam install is uptodate and in the default location. Any thoughts on what to do as I would really love to have at this mod.

Very good mod, very polished. Good degree of difficulty (except for that last strider, which seemed to be blind luck and a lot of reloading). Very engaging all the way.
This is a professional grade mod, and while it doesn't add much that we haven't already seen, expands the Half-Life playable universe a little more. Congrats to all involved.
Are you sure Adam Foster was part of its development? It was an awesome mod in terms of almost every aspect, nonetheless.
WHY IS THIS A MOD AND NOT AN EXPANSION PACK????????
nice maps, good gameplay, only bit i didn't like so much was the bit just after the water where you release the cable drum and the combine keep coming at you and you have to just run for it, apart from that quality mod,
please sir can a have some more, nuf said!
Nice intro, it explained the situation very well. Here you actually get the feeling of playing a different character and it felt like I got to explore a bigger part of Nova Prospect. They did a very good job with the architecture of the prison, it very much feels like Nova Prospect. The maps simply look beautiful and like Frosete said, the last area looks awesome. The gameplay stays fresh throughout the game, a bit much combine killing for my own liking, but overall good. A few good challenges and puzzles, my only real complain about this mod is the lack of original ideas, but what it has is very solid. The music was good too. I hope to see some more, could be fun to find out some more about this person you play.
One question: Do exceptional combat skills go hand in hand with being so dump you voluntarily get into a pod? :)
Shit, man! The trailer was sick! :D I can't wait! Now I can wake up tomorrow (which is almost today, in fact) and "Start My Own Riot Act." :gordon: Wicked Cool.
Release?
My favorite part were the last area because of the lack of combat while you're making your way down to the shore. I actually like the adventure in the Half-Life games over the action.
Will there be a continuation for Riot Act? I would really like to see more from you guys.
