"Numbness and rage. Fright and anger. I open my eyes. Oh, well. My cell is pitch dark anyhow. "Block E1". I heard their inhuman voices. Lying on this cold metal bed, I stretch my arms along my sides. This must be the right posture to fit in a pod. I do not tolerate the idea of not being ready.
Yes, but ready for what? No, I won't give way to grief.
A squeaky sound... No, no way. It can't be true. The door opens, light replaces darkness. I will ask for a reason later. Now I have a choice to take. An easy one. I will run the hell out of here, whatever it takes. It's time to get a little revenge.
It's time to start my own riot act. "

I'm at the outside bit with the constantly respawning combine.
I see from another post here that I'm supposed to just run, but where to?
Thanks
after a little bit, there will be a hole in the wall to your left. youll have to run out through enemy fire to get through it.
I wonder if their working on a sequel to this mod.
This was good...but very bland. I agree that it does feel like a part of half-life 2 that was cut....because it wasnt as good as half-life 2. the design of the prison was very good, but the gameplay was bland, the enviroments got stale, puzzles were almost non-existant, and way too much combine killing. On the plus side, i liked the new arm models, and the use of the combine vest. Not a bad mod, just not very good.
i totally agree with webdragon, and the mapdesign was very professional you can so work at valve. because ive played many hl2 mods that are not that long including the FaNtAsTic Minerva, this mod really surprised me, from the Nova Prospect environments to large gunships battles, and a citadel ride. its all the great elements of hl2. the last scene on the bridge and your escape, im not kidding i think is the best leveldesign ive seen ever in a source game. GREAT!
Best single player mod for half life two Ive ever played. Thank you.
I wouldnt be suprised if you the VALVe teame contacted you.
Not as original and captivating as Minerva, for the title of best SP mod for HL2, but it's up there with the best of them. The architecture, graphics, sound and general gameplay was flawless.
The diff was higher than in the orginal, but that was ok. I finshed the game with 13 health, in about 3h. :)
This could easily be regarded (albeit, with a bit of indulgence) as an expansion of the original HL2 experience. 9/10
REALE.
i have only one word AWESOME!!!!!
That was one of the best mods of any game that I have played in a long time. It was well balanced, compelling, surprising in places. I was expecting to have to dodge the train whilst fighting the strider so that fight was alot easier than I thought it would be when first exiting the tunnel.
The sound was well deployed, both ambient and 'soundtrack'. Sadly, the Source AI kept getting my party killed as they would often walk into turrets and other dangers. It took me ages to get a grenade to bounce right to blow the door but very satisfying when it worked - good use of environment. I think thats the first mod to give you antlion spores and burrows in the right places. The textures were just right for a part of the city slums and it really felt like Gordon was only the other side of one of the energy screens. I don't know whether its my GPU or the texture properties but HDR seemed to be a bit overused in a few places and showed on surfaces that ought to have been more matte rather than shiney.
Overall, I think you have made a great mod - one that I shall enjoy again. How about extending the story beyond the boat?
