Revolt:The Decimation Season 1
Apr 25, 2007 Full Version 3 commentsKilling never felt so good! The Decimation is an 8 on 8 team based multiplayer game with an assortment of controlled combat objectives. The powerful Revolt...
While the stalemate continues, the Empire begins to cleanse their “impurities”. A staged game of execution is broadcasted as entertainment to the common people of the Empire. Thousands die and are cheered for their staged heroics.
The Decimation is a competitive clan controlled combat system. The battle-grounds and weapons are designed for perfect balance between teams. The primary game mode is a two-stage object that whatever team owns control of the middle determines offense. Player positions are vital and ideally, should change depending on offense and defense. The game is set up as a sport and the strategic team can out maneuver a team full of individuals who have superior shooting skills. The objective clearly defines areas of battle for control with dormant regions that can be used to flank the enemy or creep into position to set up the ultimate power play. Casual gamers will have their place on the field, but the truest and most enjoyable experience will be when you coordinate with your team to decimate the opposition. Although the game can house 16 players, the maps and power weapons were designed for a clan-based 5 on 5. The Weapons are pin-point accurate and use recoil instead of traditional cone based random shooting. Stay alert and cover your ass, The Decimation has begun!

The Decimation continues! Wolfservers.com has put up official Decimation servers all around the US this week. We’re gearing up for the 1.1 patch coming out on the 24th, and still working on a solid Linux build. The new patch will have all new content and tie up any loose ends found in the premiere. Speaking of new content, we have introduced the first Dash series map called Field. This map is on the custom server, in VA, and will be in the rotation with more emerging customs maps over the next week.
DASH: Players need not worry; you can download any custom map when connecting to any Wolf server via high-speed. Server Administrators are always welcome to grab the latest files Lanclan.com
LANClan Ladder is up and running. Get your clan signed up in time for this Sunday and every Sunday’s matches. We have a few teams on the roster already and our staff will be working out the rules and details. The site is fully operational with built in irc, where we even have a pickup channel that organizes quick matches. I'll be moving the weekly around the week for now on and hopefully We'll catch ya off guard;)

What made yuou guys decide to put iron sights? Was it your real gun experiance, or just the fact that no other game has them, or both? Well, All that matters is I love em!
After playing yesterday for the first time. It was a blast! Much better game then CS, and the combat is like a mix of BF2 infrantry and CSS battles. Iron sights rock and Revolt proves that you can still have no crosshair and have iron sights and still be able to have fun. I reccomend all Smod Tactical fans to immediatly give it a try. The graphics are okay, but I have only seen it through the eyes of my radeon 9500. :). As what I can tell from the screenies here the graphics are okay, but not uber OMG. But it gets the job done and its feels much realistic, unlike other games with the candy colored world (*cough* next gen *cough*)and bloom that will make your eyes bleed. The weapons look good, but I have seen much better CSS skins. But the weapons do look realistic and have all the details a real gun would have. There are aplenty of custom textures and there isent much textures from HL2 which is good because it feels like a whole new game, and probably engine too since most mods use alot of HL2 content (besides HL2 story based mods). In iron sight mode their fantastic. The sound is good, even though it doesnt have the Hollywood BOOM BOOM. It has a realistic sound. But sometimes they are afully to quiet in the distance, and all you see is a muzzle flash about a few 20-30 yards away, but thats sometimes. The animation is okay too, but it seems kinda like their robots when not using iron sights. But its much better seeing a custom animation then the HL2 or CSS animations for a 400th billion time as many other mods do. Overall its a perfect game. I had as much fun as I did in the first round, it just keeps getting better and better. What I wish to be in the next update or release is a MP3 player like other mods have. I think playing to some music would make it much more fun. Especially that Space Jam song since revolt is a sport :P.
this mod looks like a shit load of fun!
Damn, The story is a creepy one! Also it expains why a bunch of guys wearing blue and red shooting the crap out of each other :P....unlike other games (i.e. Halo).
This has got to be one of the best mods for HL2, i've seen so far. It doesn't even look like its using the HL2 engine, which is good.
looks good ill keep an eye on ya
very good level design !
The ingame video looks cool :) More screenies cuz i never noticed this mod was like this before i was watching the ingame vid
