To make it short and sweet...this is a WIP. There's going to be bugs and unfinished stuff. If you want something that's perfect, don't download this.

Just thought i would let you guys know what we are currently working on.

Progress for RVE 2.0 Pre-Alpha
We are up to making the layouts for the tree most of the upgrades from the vanilla game have been removed a select few will be added back in.
After we have a research tree up then we will be going over the balance of each unit one by one, Please keep in mind RVE 2.0 will have its own balance it wont be based off 1.05 or vanilla.

i have a problem with the revamp mod
if i play skirmish the enemy stops doing anything after 30 minutes in game
its realy anoying they just stop doing ****
they dont build anything, they dont attack, they dont defend, they dont make any units
and when they are doing stuff they dont build a base like they do without the revamp mod
in vanilla supcom2 they build a primary base and expand to other mass extractors around the map
now they just stay at spawn.
btw the enemy is allways at cheating difficulty
please help me

could be it but he doesnt even attack, hell hes not even moving
the whole base just stops like an emp hit it or something
and the unitcap is 1000 and he doesnt produce that much units at a time

tried that
gave the AI max resource bonus, buildspeed bonus, and unit veteranthingy but after they build their first monkeylord they freeze again
there are some engineers walking around building defence towers and shield generators but thats it
please help me

By the way, anyone knows where to find those "core maximizers" somewhere? SupCom2 with this totally epic mod won't run smoothly with 3 to 7 AIs, it may even struggle at 2 (and no, don't tell me to lower unit cap. I want big battlez).

Well, what I read about it, Supcom 2 still utilizes only 2 cores of CPU, I didn't got it, cause in 2010 a lot of 4 Core processors are came out... But still I didn't found any "Core Maximizer" for SC2 . That's a shame, cause it cannot utilise my powerhouse PC at fullest..

It's just how the engine was made SC2 uses a updated engine from SC1 which puts all the sim load on a single core there's no way to change it, all gpgs did was move some other tasks to other cores like game sounds, If you want your game to run better only way is to overclock your 1st core.

albino i fond the problem from the catalysts and i know now that the catalysts can bee used online because if a player and his friend play supcom with two different versions of a mod were just one unit is changed in hp it is causing an desync because supcom compares two games and say at the beginning of a game online mod detected so to your problem catalysts are changing the behavior of all units (as you wouldnt know your self) but i am also curios about which other types of catalyst you add if the problem doesnt exists.....

That's probably because there isn't going to even be a "next game", and considering with how much people prefer SupCom:FA over 2, I don't think they can even match the success of Forged Alliance.
Despite the massive cliffhanger we're on right now, I'd rather it just die than have a disappointing sequel a la Command and Conquer.

Well, personally, I prefer SC2 because I can't quite seem to play SCFA correctly- to put it simply, I suck at that one. (Insert childish whining and demands of over-the-top nerfs here). SC2, however, I can play for some reason, plus, if there was this fabled "next game", I basicly suggested these guys who mad this mod, people who know what there doing and what was good about the games, basicly have there Modpack be considered the next game.

Well, my opinion, If I ever have a chance, I'll combine the Supcom FA with Supcom 2 + the Mods. Why?
1. The Research System are good, and can make the game complex, if everything needs to be unlocked (of course , I'll implement a rule, if somebody doesn't want to upgrade, then everything will be unlocked from start..
2. I'll keep the FA build system, thats simply good.
3. There will be 6 Tiers (Light, Medium, Heavy, Advanced, Experimental, Game Ender)
4. The Catalyst system are good too.

Well, the Catalyst System, that Albino took from an other game , and implemented the Unitport. It's simple: As you fighting and kill enemy units, you receive XP for a Catalyst storage. If you have enough XP, you can create Catalysts,each Catalyst can produce various benefits for you. For Ex.: The first Catalyst are increasing your units Speed by 13%. The second one are decreasing build time by 10% and etc and etc. In the latest Unitport, you can have 4 active Catalyst at once. That's all roughly.. But theese upgrades can grealy change of your pace of gameplay, if you have proper ones (Catalysts with greater bonuses)
