A rough draft of the UEF portal that Avitus is working on for the Portal Wars minimod.
Reminds me of stargate....

I feel like its a weapon: we lure the enemies through the portal using cherry lollypops and nom them with our gate opening and closing... :P

As has been alluded to, Stargate is actually the reference from which the portal was made. For those who haven't seen Stargate, the following is a really cool cg animation of how the stargate works in the tv series. The only thing missing is the actual wormhole creation (but just google around and you'll find clips from the episodes).
@tt0022: there actually is a reason why I'm not using the quantum gates from supcom 1. I'm writing an entire history and backstory to the mod. It'll be more apparent once I make it public.
