Very second I seen that Monkeylord MkII is Stealth Bot, I understood that fate of most battles is decided if somebody forgets about radars :)
I just hope that the Illuminate wont fall back either
we can only hope the they balance it out i know they say their not going to but if its cant balance out the cybrans ho!
Whats the difference between an assault and siege unit?
Assault means that it is used offensively and aggressively... this unit will favor speed and mobility with decent firepower, to be played aggressively...
Siege unit, doesn't need speed, because it is used to withstand tons of punishment, and lead a siege for other units to do the actuall "work", which means that this unit, will have lots of health, it will move slowly etc etc...

Illuminate counterpart is the Archangel..the UEF one is either the Annihilator or the Juggernaut ;)

Cybran land units being more powerful than UEF? I thought they were all rounders in exchange for build rate and lower build costs.
Aeon better be the most powerful,yet the most expensive and the longest of the 3 to build.But that effort will be worth it to overpower the opposition.
I don't recall Megalith not being powerful... I don't recall Soul-Ripper I not being powerful...With 4 Soul-Rippers I could pown anything....
And keep in mind, UEF XP's had sheer amounts of health or survivability or range, not damage ;)
Whoops, i forgot UEF were better at soft stats.Silly me for forgetting.DMG seems too obvious a stat.
But still, you better make em balanced.
UEF's strengths at being tenacious and having range become obsolete late game.Just not so bad they can get pwned in a few seconds.
And PLEASE,make the new fatboys barrage actually hurt against another xp.(Long term, sustained fire that is.)
I remember if you were smart enough,with enough fatboys, you can kite around and wear down stronger experimentals.
(Excluding tactical buildings,that's their real strength.)
Don't worry about Fatboy...It's Avitus's favorite so It will be powerful :P
Now as for the XPs everything will be balanced don't worry, each XP will have its flaw/weak point...
If you've noticed even the Dragon that dishes extreme amounts of damage, is extremely slow and has small range(which means prone to kiting) ;)
dragon is flying and should be fast and fast rate of fire.
id say the avitus and dragon have switched stats.

the stats on this chart are not to be compared to the UEF chart only other Cybran XPs and it is all subject to change.

Wyvern is just another name for dragon, technically a different type of dragon that is specifically English. But if there is a need for a name change there are plenty of mythological dragon names to go around. For example Fafner, Jörmungandr, Typhon, Tiamat, there's a whole list here En.wikipedia.org

They need an Heavy Tank/Siege Weapon archetype.Or is that the Juggernaut?
The reason why they got the King Kriptor was because outside the fatboy,all they had was a support fire XP incapable of taking down a Monkeylord or a Galactic Colossus 1v1.
They need something like the Storm Strider.

reason hes doing that here is because ppl pay more attention to the current. thus, better chance for ppl to respond to his comment. i think its a great idea. i still have unanswered questions on the shredder video.

At this point i have a question:
I think you know the thing i mean, when you have build many monkeylords and you move them to a waypoint and when they reach it, the monkeys make funny things with dere legs like fidget around wile they stay at the same place.Galactic Colossus or King the same. I mean that look very stupit in my opinion. Have you ever think about this before to fix this "bug"?? Or is there no way to fix it?
it isnt a bug. its supposed to make them seem alive. breathing. i persnonally think they would look quite stupid just sitting there still. the designers did that to make them seem more awar of their surroundings.
no, in actuality, only cybran units would fidget because they are cybernetic. pretty much just a brain hooked up to a bunch of cords. itd get pretty damn boring just sitting there for hours, waiting for your commander to tell you to go to battle.
the uef moving? they make them seem alive probably to make the commander feel not so alone. remember, with uef, the only living thing on the battlefield is the pilot sitting in the acu. it would also be efficient to keep them moving to prevent the joints from settling. its a lot easier to move if your standing and moving a little than to get up and move after sitting for a long time. itd be like having to stretch. they wouldnt stretch, but if they move suddenly after standing for a long time, it might actually do some damage to the internals.
the aeon? aeon units are probably ai driven like the uef.
all ACU's have pilots on them....
and what you're describing is the idle animation..
yeah, and i like to put reason behind things that i like. and i do know that all acus have pilots.
um.....the wyverns stats arent what they should be. its a flying unit isnt it? it should be the fastest of them all.
it should have the highest rate of fire and speed and regen
with average health and damage. it surely shouldnt be the game ender. the most powerful and costly unit should be a spider or insect like for cybran because that is their main idea. id think the avitus would be the game ender. or the monkeylord or storm strider at least.
for the dragon to be a game ender, it would need to be huge very detailed.
would it be possible to put the annihilator in game with its original high poly count?

look at all the lines! go through that and look back at the dragon. its too smooth. give it some nice grooves and stuff like that.

The fact that you're bashing about the "details" on models, is plainly ignorant... you haven't even defiend what detailed is, and PLEASE don't let it be the poly-count, because if it is you've already lost your groundings...
that is all that I had to say.... If you really want to continue about the model not being "detailed" enough, I think the best one to answer you is Avitus....I'm giving up with this case....

and now that i think of it, yes it is indeed the poly count. what is its poly count?
i mean detailed as in grooves like the monkeylord had on its sides and legs.a towering, massive game ender unit should look big. bigger it is, more details. more shapes, higher poly count. something that big and powerful should have barely any flat surface area. the legs mostly. and if it isnt your project, why are you answering questions ive aimed at the person who made it? i would like to discuss it with avitus. i doubt its polycount goes higher than either of the three big spiders.
i was just looking at it. ad a little more detail to the rocket racks and legs and then itl be game ender quality.
also, hows that annihilator going avitus? any chance youll be putting the avitus into a render soon?
IMAZOMBIE358 Please show some respect, Your talking about texture detail don't forget that Avitus does all his textures free hand and does a ******* good job of them, so comparing it to a GPG texture that has been done with texture design software is some what squid, We work with the software we have, We don't have access to ******* thousands of dollars of equipment and software.
P.S From this point on if you don't start showing respect to my team we wont be paying any more attention to you, Some of us have been working on this mod for years me one of them thats has put months of work into Revamp, And yes support does help i thanks those who have been there from the start watching, waiting and showing there support.
i am not in any way trying to put down avitus. i understand that you dont have thousands of dollars but you dont need thousands of dollars to add a few more shapes onto something. from what ive seen, what im asking avitus to do is like lifting a feather.
you guys who think you need to make gpg look bad are insulting supcom and all the rest of chris taylors work.
theres no reason to make them look bad. if it werent for them, you wouldnt be making this mod.
gpg didnt do a bad job at supcom 2. all it seriously needed was a tune up for the experimentals. i understand that you guys re going way out of your way to make this game even more awesome. thats crazy determination you all have but theres no reason to put down gpg.

1st of all thanks for showing some respect in your post above that's all we ask for, None of the Revamp team think about our work as trying to show GPGs up more about correcting them were they went wrong, But you are right and wrong when saying we wouldn't be making this mod if it wasn't for them, Let me clear things up the original Revamp mod was started by me and my friend loony for 1 reason we hated how SC2 turned out and i can say most people following this mod think the same way, This game was rushed and was coded for XBOX not PC, Unlike FA were it was made for PC without no limitations holding them back, I don't put all the blame of GPG because they were rush by SE but if they really cared like they did in FA it would of been developed around the PC then ported the XBOX later but they took the cheap way out.
what? it was originally for xbox? wow...i have the xbox version... its okay... the graphics are horrible though. and no dlc.
Most games are made for xbox before PC is cheaper because they don't need to worries about a PC handling a XBOX game, But there are some games that were made for PC and then ported to consoles.
you heard of universe at war? isnt it like the ONLY strategy game out there that allows xbox players to battle pc players?
Cross platform isn't all ways a smart idea both games need to be on pair with each other meaning the PC version will look like **** just like the console version LOL, Strategy games on consoles are a joke you cant play a RTS with out a PC.
mmmmh the pc version looks much better in terms of graphics. i know. ive played it.
i LOVED playing strategy games on the xbox. have you ever tried? what games have you played? ive played both supcom and supcom 2, and universe at war. the only thing i dont like is the graphics. otherwise, its a nice little challenge. it actually makes things slightly easier. a few things. especially the view stuff. building units can be faster. pretty much a circle that opens when you select a unit you want to build. that and your hands are both on the same device.
aww where did the centipede go? i loved the look of that thing.... btw, even though i realize this is a game limitation are you sure there isn't any way to have the tail and claws on the scorpion act independently to each other? ya know like a real mutated laser mech bug?
