Return of Shadow Beta 0.3 Faction Showcase
Gondor
It's Gondor's turn in the spotlight.
Some Gondor units and heroes are getting a makeover along side all the new changes and bug fixes.
Gondor
To start off with replacing Mardil's spot will be Damrod who will function as Gondor's early game hero costing 800 he'll be a good early game scout hero.
Ithilien units will be upgradable with the new Leather Armour upgrade to improve their defences, they also have a visual revamp.
Aragorn is undergoing a review much as the other "King" heroes like Saruman, Witch King and Theoden has.
His Athelas ability will be stronger as will his Blade Master.
Elendil is being moved off of his regular skill set and changed to an auto ability that will fire when Aragorn is close to death.
Oathbreaker is being changed into a weapon summon that will summon the King of the Dead to him for a short time who will in turn summon Oathbreakers.
Aragorn's leadership will be available from level 1 with some improvements on it as well, he'll replenish nearby battalions.
He will also gain 2 new abilities the first is Anduril the Bright an attack skill that boosts the damage and armour of nearby units for a brief moment.
The last is Two Hunters which briefly summons Gimli and Legolas to his side for a short time.
Finally like the Rohan faction Gondor will get a new Specialisation system with 2 choices Skirmish and Fortify these will customise the units you can build and choice of heroes.
Skirmish
Skirmish Specialisation allows the Gondor player to improve their border defence with 2 new Ithilien units the Ithilien Warriors and Ithilien Spearmen which should be familiar to anyone's played through the good campaign.
The 2 units will be improved and rebalanced accordingly.
Additionally Skirmish will unlock an additional hero Mardil.
Mardil will be improved to reflect his new role with new skills.
Fortify
Cair Andros Defenders are Axemen units so good against Shieldbearers and Siege weapons.
The exclusive Hero will be Beregond.
Beregond will be getting some improvements as well including an ability that allows him to summon a familiar face.
Next Round
So I've covered 3 factions so far in the review Isengard, Rohan and Gondor and I'm only just getting started, lots of new stuff to come for old factions and new.
This is what exactly Gondor has ever needed since it's a some what balanced faction. Nice thinking. Love your work! keep it up Rad :)
