The goal of Resistance and Liberation is to realistically portray the events and actions taken by the 82nd Airborne during their stay in Normandy. Our initial release will follow the regiments through a campaign that mimics that followed by the men themselves. The campaign will begin with players dropping into Normandy in the early hours of June 6th, with the ultimate objective of capturing the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise. From there subsiquent maps will include missions based on other key areas after the D-Day.
This mod is great. It has a lot of new interesting features for source engine, like climbing. It is very fun and i love it, i really like ww2 setting for FPS or RTS games, i like hard and realistic games that are not like CoD or Battlefield. This mod is great, too sad that not a lot of people play it, and the development "froze" for a bit. I hope devs are going to update this mod soon. Thanks for reading.
This game is an amazing respresentation of what war is really like. You are able to capture enemies, something I've never seen in a game. It features suppression, and an actually penalty for getting shot, instead of just healing in a matter of seconds. I extremely reccomend this game to anyone that appreciates realism in war games.
Honestly, I must say that I am beyond impressed with this mod, and hope to see it go further and further into bigger and better engines and etc.
Although this mod is extremely underrated and not enough people play it, which saddens me. Eventually though ,when this one is completed, the RNL team can work towards a new mod (I personally would like to see the Vietnam war brought into a bold new perspective.
