Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
Due to the lack of communication between the developers of this mod to their loyal fans, I have grown tired of having to try and pray that I don't get swarmed at one of my core worlds early in the game since the CIS apparently has an armada on some planet in the core.
The balancing issues are still huge, I cannot get any progress made ON EASY as the Republic. Strategy or not, I should not be losing star system after star system by a swarm of enemy ships on easy mode, that I cannot respond to fast enough despite having no issues whatsoever when I am fighting them on my own term.
Apparently every CIS world also has their space stations maxed early, as even with four venators and a huge array of other ships and fighter types, I still suffer extremely heavy losses. Why? Because one droid carrier can take out an entire Venator Star Destroyer, and those frigates that droids get in space by garrison units? Those are the make or breaks, as they just keep coming.
I am being generous by giving this a three, I should only give it a 1, but the content in Instant Action is fun to play, and that is this game's ONLY redeeming quality.

There are some little bugs, but they are affordable (one recommendation to everyone: save the game often because sometimes when yu try to zoom in to a planet, it crashes).
Some other bugs that i have noticed:
-the B2 battledroids are called clone troopers
-i could be wrong, but it seems that yu can build the factory for the ATTE ecc only in a few planets, but this is not say anywhere, so i think it is a bug
My only really complain is that the generators for shields on land has been placed inside the shield and this make your battle on land even more difficult, also because the enemy builds them on ALL the planets, so if yu autoresolve yu lost less units and it is annoying.
That said, really good job guys!
This game is great, amazing graphics, amazing gameplay everything is right! some unlike some mods, like one i know where clone troopers shoot green lazers which is weird, this one is perfect! however, the reason i am rating this 6/10 is because of one problem, not shor if i am the only one with this problem or if its just me but it is just too damd hard on galaxy mode! i put the setting on easy and max out the money usally, but when i doso, i only have enough money to build like 2-3 star ships, then 2-3 minutes through the game, the enemy attacks me with 100s of star ships! I'M NOT LIEING!!! THEY ATTACK MY PLANETS ONE BY ONE ON EASY WITH 10 STAR SHIPS OF EACH CLASS AND EACH PLANET THEY ATTACK IS A DIFFERENT FLEET!!! how are they able to make 100s of star ships when i can only make 2-3????? so i say good game but HORIBLE gameplay UNLESS your the best gamer in the unerverse, to play this mod, YOU'LL HAVE TO BE!!!!!
Actually I really liked this mod, seriously. But the concept is good yet the gameplay really sucks! The galactic conquest mode is what the game is played for yet for all the flare this game needs some serious work. The entire gameplay is completely unbalanced. The CIS is almost impossible to beat taking the FUN out of the game. and thats on easy! I found myself actually sitting down for hours and days trying to figure out strategy and that was just for one planet. The reason the republic wasn't overwelmed was that they had clones. The way this game is unbalanced is much more sad than all the flare. I rate this mod as unplayable. Once again this concept is GREAT but the game needs to be rebalanced to include a fun factor.
