Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
This is one of the latest changes we made.
Beside some exchanged planets in this GC you can see that we have added additional mission holocron entries. Reading the message given here between the lines it should be clear that, before you can attack Coruscant, you have to do some other tasks.
This is how we want to add some more variability and depth into the different galactic conquests. For Version 1.2 we created a few of these tasks.

we are far away from a real SP campaign. Even mods that focused on story events like Aotr or TR do not have one.
But i can not deny we also have plans to add more of those in future versions

Are these randomly generated goals like in EaW (Not FoC), or are they set to trigger after you say conquer planet X?
re-enabling the random event takes much time, as we would need to adjust them to the mod. we can not do this for 1.2 but this is something we will look into right after.

Comparing this image with older ones, such as "New Triad of Evil" (14 Aug 2015), it appears that you have... rotated the galaxy, let's say it so. Is this correct or have you made major changes in the planets' positions?

well the image shows the Core Assault GC. so it is normal that they have different planets. but comaring 1.1.5 and 1.2 the planet positions have been changed completely

well Coruscant is very good secured. You will need many ships to conquer it
