Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
An in-game shot of the new CIS Anti-Aircraft Turret.
Guess the CIS finally got tired of Republic Air Superiority.
"Good ole Oddball, always on target."
So is that gun, so Oddball better be careful.
He says as four LAAT's get rekt by a single Droid Gunship.
its true one droid gun platform can pwn four LAAT/Is its crazy the CIS are to powerful
This mod has been CIS biased since the beginning

I know right XD
Very nice, any other pics coming "soon?"
soon is a relative term
Soon could be five minutes
Soon can be in May
Soon can be several years from now
or maybe just one day
Roger Roger!
Scary... Very. Scary...

it'd be really nice if the mod team that has a ridiculous, unrealistic amount of dedicated followers would actually show the appreciation to tell them what's going on in the mod team. with nobody consistently making models, this mod is dead. so assuming z3r0x will never return and warb null isn't going to do it constantly we can conclude that republic at war will never see another release.
imo, you have a certain responsibility to stay in contact with the fans of your mod and that just hasn't happened.
They technically have no obligation to tell us anything, considering it's a free product and no contractual connection has been made between the makers and consumers. Though it would be nice to get some news from a bit more often.
since when have modders ever had that responsibility? sure, it'd be nice, but they can be doing whatever they damn well please and there's nothing we can or should do about it because they're doing it in their free time. the fact that they at least came out with this means that progress is being made and that we haven't been abandoned.

lmao. i've been around here for a long time, probably a much longer time than the two of you. someone who makes anything for consumers does owe something to their consumers. this mod would be nothing without the people that play it. a mod that took over 5 years to develop should have been a lot better than RaW was. the word "obligation" implies that there is no written contract between makers and consumers, don't act condescending unless you know what you're talking about.
they do it in their free time, by choice, because they enjoy the reception they get and the work that they do. this mod has consistently been one of if not the most popular mod on this website and there hasn't been any content updates for 4 years. when you develop a mod, you are taking on the responsibility of a fan base. for whatever reason, all of these folks don't care that the developers aren't in contact with them.
i certainly would, but i was disappointed with the initial release of republic at war in 2011, and stopped following it. but honestly, i'd like to see this mod continue in some fashion so long as z3r0x isnt involved, unfortunately that probably won't happen.
A long winded way of saying your self-entitled, gotcha.
self-entitled? i'm sorry, but if you didn't catch this, i have absolutely no interest in any future releases of republic at war. this mod can't go anywhere without a modeler, something it has lacked since the disappearance of z3r0x.
what i am, is someone who fully realizes the amount of work that goes into a mod and the kind of dedication it requires. i also realize that if i made a clone wars mod with an extreme lack of content it would not take me 6 years to create, and i work 30 hours a week and go to school 30 hours a week. and assuming i did spend the 6 years, finally complete the mod, and release it, i know that if i was granted accolades and fame and titles due to my dedicated fanbase i would at least say, hey sorry, but i just simply don't have the time or dedication to continue with this.
that much this team owes the fans. that's all i'm saying. that's not self-entitlement, its common sense. without a full-time modeler a total conversion mod cannot be completed. until they gain someone who can model, and i dont even think there is anyone that's still active that models infantry that would have the time for this anyway, this mod simply can't be completed. these are the facts.
Hopefully, AA will actually aim AT the gunships instead of deliberately aiming way below and missing EVERY ******* TIME. Anyways keep it up! :)
Yep, that issue has been fixed.
I find a really good AA unit is the AAT. Works wonders against gunships.
You guys are both right there are in some way obligared to inform us on there progress and development but they do it on there own time and don't have to.
yes because LAATs are OP and not the ******* CIS gunships that are nearly impossible to hit and even with 20 tanks took me a good 10 seconds to take out
Agreed, I focus on building aa turrets and AAT tanks everywhere because those are some of the few units that can actually hit them (besides Droid Gunships ) :D
Lets hope these guys will actually attack me!
Nice model, I really like your b1 models
