Remote Strike is set at a time not far in the distant future where true remote control robots which are controlled by humans further the space exploration program for Earth, as technology has advanced remote control has gone way beyond what is currently possible with missions launched to various planets where it would be impossible for humans to venture. The robots only have to sustain themselves.. all intelligence and actions come from their human controllers in real time. The purpose of the fps is to make a cooperative game where your intrepid group of metal commandos goes out to the various planets to control them for Earth.
Initially there will be custom weapons and character models in the first main release (see the website for current weapon models) and then there will be new gamemodes as well. These will be based on the Invasion type game although obviously the characters and weapons will be available via switch arsenal for you to use as you want.
The vast majority of the code is done and has been released as an alpha but IM now redesigning the mod for the nvidia contest (no chance of winning but its a useful planning date)

Ive released a patch for 6.1 which fixes :-
- online and lan issues, the laser and combat zooms were not showing up on clients machines these now do show up. Some other online bug fixes.
- auto reload
- tracer fire for the MG
- auto switch weapons when 1 weapon is out of ammo.
- A weapon out of ammo is not longer selectable either.
There other features being worked on but Ive had alot of requests to fix the online issues from people who use the mod on a LAN.
Its a 70kb download, just put the files in your system directory and overwrite the old ones. Make a backup in case you dont like the new features!

Version 6 of the Remote Strike Weapon Mutator has been released!, it includes 5 new weapons and a host of changes to all 11 weapons with fixes and tweaks plus gameplay changes. The mutator works both ONLINE and offline with bots. Theres a mutator for the weapons if you just want to play quickly and these are all usuable with Switcharsenal and worms 2k3. Please remember to bind a key to 'reload' in the settings page of ut2003, you'll find it in the 'Remote Strike' section.

Major changes:
NO SELF DAMAGE caused by your own weapons being fired too close to you
{{NOTE: Please note that due to the increased damage radius you must score direct hits on your
taget to cause damage there is no more area damage caused by close hits on the
ground for example, this does woek well as you will find you need to control your recoil more
in order to kill your opponent - ie its harder to get kills now }}
RECOIL: The recoil has been adjusted on all weapons to reflect whether corouching or not,
if the firer is crouching the weapons is better controlled and therefore recoil is less , if the firer
is standing walking or running then the recoil is much higher due to a less stable firing position.
