Here is a VERY WIP walk through of one of the levels your player will have flash backs. I made three versions of how it should look. Tell me which one you like better. And yes i know i still need a lot more objects to add to it hence the word WIP.
either the last one or the first one :P
I'd use the first one if you want a very intense, eerie and ambiguous feel, or use the third if you want a more clearly defined idea of where you are, and more of a hazy and distant feel. They both work really well, the second not so much, too bright as you said. Looks great man :).
the last one is pretty good, if its going to be a flashback tho....depending on the mood your trying to convey, i would take the last one and have it just a tad brighter than the first(in other words much darker than it is, but not as dark as the first)
i will probably go with that thanks!
I'd choose the last one
the first one!
I think the last version with a bit less fog and nearly as dark as the first one. The atmosphere is really good for a general purpose but you feel like something dramatic will happen, for example a massacre?
anyway the video is great and it reminds me of bioshock due to the genre,
time period and music in a good way, and this feels more involved.
hey thanks for the feedback! i'll experiment more with it to get it just right. and your on to something about the dramatic event happening....
Maybe you could use all of them at different points throughout the game. One at the beginning, one near the middle, and one near the end. The end being the dreamiest because the guy is about to die lol.
Just a thought :D
